On the flip side, being “hacked” but still able to access your account to say you’ve been hacked is unlikely. But from my own personal experience on Twitter/X, an old account I had was hacked but I was able to log in. My name was changed, everything deleted etc and random things posted, but I was able to just deactivate it (never really used it anyway).
Edit: forgot to say that this was like 5 years ago, don’t think it’s possible these days due to needing multi-factor authorisation etc

But to do all of that within minutes? Yeah I dunno, even if you have notifications on, it’s a bit suss.

IP is the key with this one, but I expect a quiet resignation in the next few weeks

The fact this guy thinks he can continue to claim he didn’t post it, hide behind legal counsel and retain his job just shows how much he truly got away with at PWC, and continues to benefit from at his own business.

Hate to say it, but i agree
 
Don't think you'll find too many supporters sticking up for him.
His position is untenable. Needs to make a statement that he's stepping aside from his duties while it's investigated for the benefit of the club to allow them to have an uninterrupted start to the season.
Then he can just quietly be replaced by not coming back.

Whatever he is doing now says nothing at all about what he “got away with” at PWC.

These are completely independent matters.

Not sure where you're getting that from.
I've only really seen one poster on our board that hasn't been happy to see him removed and all that poster has really said is that people should wait for the details before jumping to conclusions, which is fair, even if I don't agree.

This is the kind of thing a CEO or president could get away with 10 years ago, but the landscape has changed and I'm just not convinced it can be swept under the carpet and go away now.

Unfortunately for Sayers, his version of events is so unbelievable that he will need to provide some sort of evidence to win the court of public opinion. (which is the only one that really matters as it is not a legal issue).

DeGoey grabbed a girl on the arm and gets called a rapist on here without consequence so public opinion is pretty rational
