Majak Daw - Rig Horse

He was down at Chirnside Park on Saturday for the WRFL Grand Finals, and it looks like Majak has developed into a seriously big boy. Was having a kick around and also doesn't look like his disposal is too bad at all either.

Spoke to Majak at a recent training day at Arden St, he is seriously going to be a dead set asset to our club from both a footy sense and a marketable prospect to a wider part of our fan base that will follow how he will progress.

Probably a more appropriate description when you consider what the term "rig horse" means in horse racing parlance.

Had to look it up and had a bit of chuckle.

Found this definition off Horse and hound website.

"A true rig is a male horse that is carrying either one or two testicles concealed in its abdomen, making it visually appear to be a gelding, while behaving like a stallion. These horses are medically described as a cryptorchid, literally meaning "hidden testicle".

A false rig is an aggressive gelding that displays male dominance-type behaviour, despite having both testicles removed. The stallion-like behaviour displayed by false rigs is not driven by testosterone, and can only be controlled by the correct management techniques."

Poor Maj. :(

Hmm, it carries a somewhat different definition as I understand it.

I would be quite worried for Maj. I wonder if he'll get the Cryptorchid nickname now.

When FG follows a player closely, he follows a player "closely" and leaves nothing to the imagination when he reports on BigFooty. Perhaps Caro could follow his lead with some of her wishy washy reports. She'd probably enjoy it too.
