so reading into everyones opinions of the 3 aboriginal players we've drafted,

we've picked an aaron davey ( lynch), a kerr/burgoyne? ( stack), and a wells (hill) type of players. (correct me if i'm wrong)

Obviosly i'm not saying they will be as good as or anything like that, just merely stating what style of player we might expect them to be.

I don't know about you guys but i can't wait to see these guys play live,
I'm hoping the werribee games don't clash too often with the dogs next year that's for sure.

Amen.

Werribee will be very interesting and exciting to watch in 2007. The new draftees, particuarly our Indigenous kids (Stack, Lynch & Hill) will be closely watched by a number of people. O'Shea will be another who I'll be interested to watch and along with Everitt as a given.

Not to mention, the development of Williams, Walsh & hopefully West too will be something to hang around for.

lynch does sound daveyish (daveyesque?)

stack is described as a quick, dominant forward with a good motor who could pinch hit in the midfield... something like murph or mark williams?

hill sounds more like a quick version of monty.

he played excatly like an Aaron Davey type. he even had the left foot and the freakish goals. im looking forward to watching him play

Here is an article on Lynch....

Lynch's grand journey

Here are some paragraphs from it...

The path to the AFL for young footballers is never clearly defined as new Western Bulldogs recruit Malcolm Lynch has shown.

The 18-year-old Tiwi Islander was taken by the Bulldogs with pick 66 overall in last month's NAB AFL Draft in a move that surprised many, including Lynch himself.

and this....

Bulldogs Recruiting Manager Scott Clayton was impressed by Lynch's speed and agility after he recorded a 2.83 second 20-metre sprint at a state screening session for prospective recruits.

Lynch had grown up a Geelong supporter, but now he's a Bulldog through and through.

I think thats a disgrace saying that Lynchy is not a hard worker. I have trained with Lynchy for 8 or 9 weeks last year as I am a year 10 student at Riverview and never have I seen a player work as hard and effectivly as Lynchy. In the lead up to the draft Lynchy would spend countless hours on first field timing his 100m sprints and having kicks with other 1sts players. On many occasions when training was called off because of rain, Lynchy, some other Year 12's and myself would have kick to kick on the ovals.

I think your a disgrace to suggest that Mal would cruise through pre-season. Mal has just been drafted to the Western Bullddogs which is a hell of alot further than any of you on this website.

When Malcolm becomes a house hold name and I mean when
We will talk further

I don't think anyone is really saying that.

I've seen lynch train twice now and i've been nothing but impressed with his attitude and the ferocity at which he trains. He's right up there with the top players in the club for the way he goes about it.

Those of us that have seen him at training have marvelled at his sublime skills and pace. No doubt about it he's got some class.

Out of the 10 players we've drafted since last season i'd put him second to aker in the most impressive stakes.

Obviously he's got a bit to learn about afl and senior footy but i think he'll take to it like a duck to water.

Never say that again........ Mal Lynch is the hardest worker I have ever played with as I have trained with him for 8 weeks last year. In the lead up to the draft he spent countless hours on first field working on his 100m sprints and I thinkk it is a disgrace you think he isnt willing to work hard.

FFS. It was a sarcastic comment. Of course players dont cruise through, I was having a crack at Borgy saying he would have top work hard.

BTW If you've only trainied with him for 8 weeks, theres now lots of posters on this board who have seen a LOT more of him training than you-me included.

Now run along until you can understand what the grown ups are talking about.

I like him. He needs to get more confident around goal instead of always passing it off and getting his team mate into troubly. I would like to see him get a few more games under his belt. Exciting long term prospect.

I've liked him since I first saw him play in the NAB against the Swans, sounds like he does have a strong work ethic which is a great thing considering his talent.
