A man that has links to 'prominent figures in the Victorian legal system' who has been convicted of going onto an online chat forum and speaking about raping and torturing toddlers and babies cannot be named.
His identity has been suppressed for 20 years because if named it would be 'damaging to his mental health'.
On the same day that Carl Ditterich has been named when charged, an individual who has been convicted has been looked after by the legal fraternity.
They even had to bring a Judge in from NSW to hear the case and then the sentencing was brought forward to escape media scrutiny.
As for the sentencing 'Judge Berman ordered the man spend 15 months in jail, but suspended the sentence entirely, enabling him to walk free from court.
The judge instead placed the man on a three-year good behaviour bond and ordered him to pay $5,000.'
Both extraordinary and shameful.
