Bloody hell, Amorim's Sporting is a joy to watch. God damn, I hope it works out this time.

We only need to **** off about 98% of the squad. After that, I am pretty excited.

Just rename us Sporting United, change our kit to green & white, and maybe then it will work.

I'm not holding my breath, we saw ETH have Ajax play fantastic football, then he comes to United and we all saw what was dished up. The signs are good with Amorim, but coming to United he has a shitshow of a squad to deal with, big egos on massive wages, nothing compared to how he has it at Sporting, will be a huge eye opener for him.

Just watched the highlights, Citeh absolutely battered them but couldn't score. Sporting 27% possession.

It was the way they played on counter that was impressive. Their energy and intensity for large periods of the game was quality.

The amount of running all of their players did to not only defend but open City up with pace and creativity was pleasing to watch. Clearly, a well coached set of players who can adapt to different game styles when needed.

Biggest positive was Amorim himself saying post match that Manchester United can't play as defensive as that under him, so he is aware.

Reckon that was a penalty on Amad in the box. There was contact to his thigh and foot and made no contact with the ball. Soft, yes, but how many soft pens have we given away over the past 18 months that we haven't gotten in return.

Rashford.....opts to shoot on the break and misses with Zirkzee unmarked at the far post waiting for the tap in.

Still, a wins a win. Ruud has done well to steady things.

How often do we burn Rasmus and Zirkzee doing this shit.

Only shining light in this game.

It was a tough watch.

I will commend Garnacho too. Far less selfish tonight and actually looked to pass a lot more. Think he may have copped a rocket after the Chelsea game.

Felt he was a lot more team oriented tonight.
