I guess benching Martinez was the same as benching Maguire. Next game Yoro back to the pine with Martinez freshened up.

Still lacking potency beyond Amad magic. Zirkzee better than Hojlund but still not top class.

We were never beating Brighton. Southampton, on the bottom, only 3 days ago should’ve been 3/4-0 up at HT against us, Brighton are a much better team than them.

1 shot on target this morning and that was the penalty, this team, this club, it’s just awful. We’re completely destroying Amorim here too, won’t be long until the media and certain parts of the fanbase jump up and down about sacking him, he doesn’t stand a chance.

The recruiting since saf has lead us to this point everyone from ownership to management needs to be held responsible.

Amorim can hide so much before the blame will start to be put on him. His style, system and stubbornness only gets him so far.

This is the part I'm concerned with, I get he wants to play his system but if we don't have the squad to do it.....

Can someone answer me why the Brighton player that took Zirkzee out wasn't shown red? It's the most clear definition of denying a goal scoring opportunity you will ever see.
We should probably just be thankful we got a pen.

Cold harsh facts by Amorim, this could be the worst man united team ever.

Thankyou Glazers & INEOS, worst United EVER!
Might find himself pushed out the door like Rangnick was for telling home truths like that.

I am the opposite. Get everyone around the gamestyle as soon as possible so that anyone who is left after the cleanout at the start of next season knwos the style, expectations etc.

Waiting until he has the squad to do it wastes 6-12 months of growth and learning opportunities. Set expectations early. Drive the standards from Day 1. They've had it too soft for too long.

I'm glad we don't have a manager that gaslights us into thinking we deserve to win and playing well.

At this rate he will probably be happy to be paid out and leave, this club is so far gone atm it’s a monumental task for a manager.

I honestly don’t know where we go from here, it’s just going to get worse.

Do we need a 1970s style relegation? Then the Glazers/INEOS sell up to Qatar. Full club reset.

The squad we have can’t do **** all except collect a paycheck every week.

The recruiting since saf has lead us to this point everyone from ownership to management needs to be held responsible.

We have basically ****ed up every key decision since then in regards to player recruitment/retention and also, manager recruitment/retention.

Backed in managers who play their own style with lavish spending and then got rid of them (took too long to make those decisions too in certain cases) for managers who play a completely different style leaving us to spend large amounts of money again while retaining underperforming and overpaid players throughout consistently. No one clear or consistent identity/plan through the period.

Now we are back to square one again but with less financial power this time coupled with spending restrictions and a manager who is trying to get this current bunch of goofs to play modern football when they were actually bought to play 'transitional' football.

ETH isn’t a bad coach, and he did after all win us 2 trophies, but **** me did we splash cash on some spuds under his watch.

I mean, who the hell spends well over £200m on Rasmus, Zirkzee, Mount & Antony? All players who wouldn’t get near starting for any top 6 PL team.

Can probably add Onana and De Ligt to the list. Both look like they have a mistake in them just about every game.

However, can probably cut MDL some slack since it's his first season in the league and in a shit team but Onana has shown he is too error prone, even in a relatively good season for him.

Onana needs to go asap.

I think De Ligt has probably been our best signing in the summer alongside Maz & Ugarte, he does have a mistake in him but can also put in colossal performances like against Arsenal.

Imagine playing CB with Onana as your GK though, talk about shitting bricks.

100%. Having a competent keeper you can trust would certainly help out the defenders mentality. They must be fighting mentally each wek knowing that any little mistake they make will likely ens in a goal with Onana between the sticks, so it puts a heap of pressure on them to perform, and you can't consistently perform well, week in, week out under those mentally straining conditions.
