I think we're getting a bit too carried away after that, yes we've made it harder on ourselves but Liverpool aren't good enough to wrestle this spot off us unless we completely implode. It's not as though we're playing the same dour shit we were earlier in the season, we're still dominating games but just struggling to score, the fact that Falcao and RVP have both had starts in two of the last three scoreless games tells a story IMO.

We need Carrick back ASAP, with him in this side we looked unstoppable a few weeks a go. I think his calming influence will solve a few issues for us and it'll free up Herrera to make more of an impact on our attacks.

Yeah, we're definitely getting carried away here, three weeks a go we were a chance to push for 2nd spot, now it looks like we'll be settling for fourth, that's really not that bad considering where we've come from 12 months a go.

We have two hard away fixtures and Arsenal at home competing for the second spot.
If we beat Crystal Palace and Liverpool lose then yeah we are safe but this form we are carrying is worrying. Liverpool could beat Chelsea. We know how Chelsea will play that game and at some point a side will punish them for it.

I'm just completely pissed off with this side. Three straight losses with no goals scored is inexcusable.

I think we all got carried away once Hull beat Liverpool.

Liverpool have just just lost to Hull and scraped past QPR, they're not exactly red hot at the moment either so I don't see the point of all this doom and gloom. It's definitely possible but it would require a dramatic upturn in form from them and us just completely falling away for it to happen IMO, despite the inspid attacking performances I've seen nothing to suggest we're in danger of dropping off either.

Frustrating that they come to play against the best and have looked so good in those games and yet struggle at other times against mid table/relegation fodder. Van Gaal has really struggled in getting this group motivated in games that should be marked down as definite wins.
