"Manly" Vodka Mixers

I was thinkin when going out in the future to start drinking vodka a bit more often after having a few beers before heading out, as it seems to reduce the chances of a hangover, well for me anyway. I'm just having trouble deciding on a good mixer that isn't too girly (i.e vodka pineapple ) or coke/redbull.

I was thinking ginger ale, but anyone else got any suggestions?

This drink is just too freakin strong to be a chicks drink, it would have most women off their dial after 2-3 of them.

Thanks for the tips even the ones who were taking the piss. Just ended up doing shots of tequila straight up. Not so bad.

I have a funny story behind the freezing of Vodka. In my earlier years I would bust into the freezer and take some of the folks vodka every now and then. I thought I was being quite mischievous putting water in it to cover my tracks, but of course I wasn't thinking and well we all know what happens with water in the freezer.

Add some muddled lime to your Vodka and use Ginger BEER and you got yaself a Moscow Mule. Add bitters for a true mule.
