Yes mike i would have to agree with you there.. played a very good second half, i managed to see that game and he looks like a promising player, I no he was named emergency but may not get his chance for a while, especially when thorton and walker get back into the side.

i see your logic but at whose expense? if up forward then wiggo i suppose. but if down back....i would suggest jamo play small and then the three talls in waite bower and austin

jamo to farmer

anyway, good that hes getting into some form:thumbsu:

He's getting there, slowly but surely.
I have noticed one thing with Aussie, his good is pretty good, yet his bad makes him look like he should be playing 4th division EFL.

Still, well worth persisting with. Didn't see him play as a junior, but came with a pretty good reputation from SA.

lappin said he was one of the very few shining lights in last weeks thumping of the bullants

Yeah he was, but he had a couple of moments he'd like to forget early in the game. Still, to his credit, he knuckled down and got on with the job after that.

Blue_Dawn, the answer is yes, I'm happy with Austin's development.

Nice to see you finally answer G, thought i'd have to wait til 2010. ;)

Very pleasing to see him pushing for selection, he needs to continue working hard in search of a senior game and go on from there.

We could really do with a player like him - tall, athletic defender who can also play a bit up forward.

If he can really push for a spot he'll be given every opportunity to cement a place in the senior side. Would put a whole lot less pressure on guys like Waite, too.

We're crying out for another tall defender and if Aussie can force his way into the side it can only mean good things for our future.

Mark Austin is the 3rd youngest primary listed player behind only Gibbs and Kreuzer. He is actually younger than Steven Browne who was only drafted last November.
He is a young developing KPP player who has shown glimpses of class at senior level.
Give him a bit more time and we might have a gem (at either end of the ground). :thumbsu:

I think you missed the point of this forum.

Young players don't get time, especially KPP's..........they perform year 1 or they are out of favour and bagged endlessly.........unless we then trade them..............then we all love them and wish they had stayed.;)

Could he be a smokey for Brown?

You wouldn't want to crucify the kid. He's nowhere near developed enough to be asked to take on that task.

Is it just be or have you become somehwat embittered and cynical about BF?
