Whose position is he taking? Harbrow, Gilbee or Hargrave? They are our running defenders.

Seems every year we trade for, or attempt to trade for, some kind of medium defender. Eade is obsessed.

Have a feeling it might be an Eagleton replacement.

IMO he'd be wasted in a back pocket. His ability to kick long would come in handy.

If it's for the right price, I'd be happy with it.

I can't see the point in taking him. Okay, we can trade for a player in a position that we desperately need to fill such as Hall.

But for positions we are well covered for and ordinary players, there is no use in trading for them IMO. I would much rather we keep the draft choices and play the young guys on our list that didn't get many games this year.

It's not logical to take a player that won't get into your best 22.The only club that will benefit if we get Nicoski is Williamstown.

Stick with Eagleton.
Isn't half of his salary paid for as he would be on the veterans list?
Can Nicoski kick goals from 50 metres out on the run?
Nope.
Fantasia just needs to rock up to the draft week thing for the free tea and biscuits.
Our first two draft picks are still great, we have Hall.
Keep Everitt. all will be well!

A 4th rounder in this draft is likely to be of very little quality.
A chance on someone who had shown form and maybe a chance to recapture it vs a 2 year commitment to someone who is unlikely to make it?

If WCE take a 4th rounder I'd do it.

I cannot see why the dogs would want him. They have Harbrow doing that job and Gia can do it as well with greater accuracy. As backup he'd offer better value than a4th round pick as he is known quantity. He is not the difference between 3rd and 1st.

Dogs cant afford wojo, so they wont be going for him..

Secondly, i dont think there is much difference between the two..

Nicoski has had a couple of poor seasons with injuries, but before that was a key member of the Eagles premiership side in 2005 with his run and precision long kicking..

If the bulldogs can get him for anything above pick 50 then i wouyld take him...

He is still young and we all know people can blossom going to other clubs, even with their efficiency rating (see Farren Ray's efficiency 2008 vs 2009).

I feel he could be a very valuable player and would much rather have him across half back then Dylan Addison, who completely butchers the ball at all opportunities..

Some say precision kicking, others say lack of confidence and turnover king. reminds me of macmahon in that respect.

McMahon was just plain horrible.

Nicoski would be a good inclusion. More than likely if (a big if) they are looking at him it would be more for a backup. Similar to T.Callan.
I really hope Eagleton goes on for another year. He is extremely important to our run and carry off halfback. Also as mentioned he is a booming kick.

We for the first time in a long time have a spine now. Don't mind trading now for reserve players that can come in for injuries or poor form.

Trade week sometimes reminds me of the jumble sale. You go there for a nosy around or might be after a specific item, and you find yourself coming home with a whole heap of stuff that you don't want or need. You buy it simply because it was for sale rather than because you really want it or need it.

We are way in front at the moment as far as Trade Week goes. Signed BBB, Re ---Signed Lake. We have heaps of young talent and some draft picks in this years draft. Maybe we should quit while we are ahead. :)

We already have a heap of young players that can come into the side if needed. They couldn't get a game last year because our team was winning and we had few injuries. So we do have depth.

I cannot understand why we would trade for players simply for depth or back up. IMO it is a complete waste of a draft pick. The only winner in that is Williamstown. Nicoski is no where near being in our best 22, so IMO it is a total waste to recruit him over. Which player are we going to have to tip off our list for Nickoski? Reid, Lynch? I would rather keep the young talent we have on our list and develop them rather than trading for recycled's than arn't good enough to make a bottom teams best 22.

Please I hope not. He is not the right fit for the club.

Doggies were on kick off the GF so things must be right. Hall and Lake secured, keep Everittt as he will step up as will a couple of the others. Use draft picks to get young talent to the club.

Trading for old hacks is not the way forward.

I agree with you Ja... Jar...Jarm. Sorry, I cannot get out your username. My keyboard locks up with trauma memories based on name association.

Funny, because trading older players has been quite profitable for the last 4 premiers and the last 2 runners up.
