So you agree that Rioli should be shown leniency?Iv'e been pi**ing myself laughing at your posts, you think you know life but it reads like a 10 year old trying to be clever. Good luck with your life Mr Perfect
Once he’s done his time absolutelySo you agree that Rioli should be shown leniency?
So you agree that Rioli should be shown leniency?
That's not leniency then is it.Once he’s done his time absolutely
Did Pickett get shown leniency when he went to jail? That's not leniency then is it.
Yes. His sentencing was pretty light.Did Pickett get shown leniency when he went to jail?
I think you’re confusing leniency for forgiving.
Yes. His sentencing was pretty light.
So giving Willie say 12 months and him successfully returning to football would be a sign of the system working? I agree.Sounds like it was just right, in that the system was successful with rehabilitation during that timeframe.
Not sure if that counts as leniency, many that do worse, get less.

I agree.I'd be happy with a massive fine. Let him play, but all match payments donated to drug rehab/awareness programs for 12 months, 4 years, whatever.
I mostly agree, except for the last portion. The comparison with Rioli is pointless. Personally. I find the whole Rioli thing tragic, and while faking a urine test is a "bad thing", he only did it to hide smoking a bit of weed which is not performance enhancing and should not be illegal in the first place (isn't anyway in SA and the ACT). So I would be totally in favour of lenience towards Rioli. I'm willing to forgive him his bad choices (like not playing for Richmond as a Rioli should).
Lol. Bloke's been playing senior WAFL/VFL footy his whole life. Reckon the manufactured pretty boys from GWS are gonna bother him?Played one game against an insipid team protected by some experienced players.
Gws missed a trick, should have roughed him up and he'd have disappeared.
The game was over halfway through the second quarterthe more time that passes post the GF the more I realise how overrated his game was. There were at least 7 or 8 tigers more
Influential than him. Definitely a solid debut but it’s not hard to look ok in a team that wins by 80+
shouldnt have gotten any norm smith votes IMO
prestia, martin, riewoldt, vlastuin, Houli, Edwards, Caddy were all much better
Come on he played well for a debut.the more time that passes post the GF the more I realise how overrated his game was. There were at least 7 or 8 tigers more

16 to 18 months sounds fair.So giving Willie say 12 months and him successfully returning to football would be a sign of the system working? I agree.
Barlow is a ripping bloke and player in his prime.Michael Barlow turned out to be a fantastic AFL footballer. If not for a badly broken leg would have been recognised as such by everyone. Happy if Pickett can emulate Barlow's career sans the broken leg bit.
A very relaxed nature on field. After his first few touches he looked composed, a natural. Unbelievable given the enormity of the day.
How are recruiters inept because of this?

Congratulations on him for rejecting a life of failure for sure, but does it need this high of a pedestal?
Im more inclined to celebrate those who never failed to begin with
