It's been a long year. Happy for those that played in the Ashes and were in the WC squad to have a rest.Whatever happened to Carey, doesn't he play anymore? He only plays Tests these days and the next one starts in NZ 29th February.

Just think scoring 9+ runs per over here, is tough. Still maintain scoring hasnt been easy today. Not quite. A couple of big overs changes it.
Good call...Should be playing in this game.Whatever happened to Carey, doesn't he play anymore? He only plays Tests these days and the next one starts in NZ 29th February.
Sure about shutting the talk down?VIC arent going to get 64 off 7.0 overs to get the bonus Point. Can shut all that talk off now, even with 8 wickets in hand.
Handscomb looks too chicken to swing the bat. Playing safe and probably for his average.
Can't make the team with Nielsen playing

My other thinking is he think he might not have the desire to be back in the ODI 50 over side.
How about just playing for SA? No priority there? My other thinking is he think he might not have the desire to be back in the ODI 50 over side.
Handscombs knock may have cost the VICS the spot. If they go on to get it, having him up the order has made it a stressful get.
Since his one and only knock of zero in the World Cup, he's played 7 innings for Australia and the one match for SA in the Sheffield Shield. Hardly exhausting when it comes to batting. People will be complaining if he's not making runs in the NZ Tests, but he's hardly spent any time in the middle this entire summer. It's been a long year. How about helping out your state side?My other thinking is he think he might not have the desire to be back in the ODI 50 over side.
Im not sure alot of players that have made it to the top have that great desire to come back and play state cricket in 50 over format. Think its a desire and motivation thing.
The fatigue is from more than just playing. Being in the setup , travelling, training, being in foreign environments. The simple fact he is not playing suggests the rest is viewed as more important to both him and the Australian team.Since his one and only knock of zero in the World Cup, he's played 7 innings for Australia and the one match for SA in the Sheffield Shield. Surely they give up on the bonus point now?
