I think we deserve an own thread for the final on 8th March Wednesday .

Western Australia 7-0 and unbeaten in their round robins come up against South Australia 4-3.

Surprised to see that WA has the most 50 over domestic titles with 15 and South Australia have 3.

Lehmann looks up for it. He's smoked about 52 cones on the flight over.

Watching Lehmann/Blewett/Gilespie at Adelaide Oval post Chappel Stands and pre redevelopment was great.
Definitely agree the Mercantile Mutual Cup was good. The hit the sign to reward players was good.

Remember North Sydney Oval being packed for the early games of the summer. And WACA used to have pretty big crowds just after the footy season.

Reckon if Cricket Australia marketed right, people would come. But not having the game free to air is a killer.

If Foxtel/Kayo aren't broadcasting it then nobody is.

* I hate that big bash has virtually all but destroyed ODD competition. Bring back the mercantile mutual cup! Those were the days
Really strange comment, Both formats are still available for people to watch and attend, in fact people have a choice of 3 Domestic formats. Some people just have different preferences to what they prefer.

You’re really just asking to bring back a certain sponsor, not a format.

Maybe this was satire regarding people yelling at clouds, and I missed it

The difference in quality between the two sides line ups is alarming. It would be enormous upset if SA get up here. That SA top 6 would have to go close to being the worst ever to make a domestic final.
Had Manenti taken a catch in the 48th(?) over of the last match in Perth between the two sides SA would have won.

South Australia (Playing XI): Henry Hunt, Jake Carder, Daniel Drew, Nathan McSweeney, Jake Lehmann(c), Harry Nielsen(w), Ben Manenti, Nathan McAndrew, Wes Agar, Henry Thornton, Spencer Johnson

Western Australia (Playing XI): Josh Philippe, Josh Inglis(w), Cameron Bancroft, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Turner(c), Aaron Hardie, Ashton Agar, Matthew Kelly, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff

They really don't care about crowds at these matches anymore do they? Having the final on a Wednesday instead of a Saturday or Sunday.

Not much promotion of it either, a lot of people wouldn't even know that this final is on today.

As for the match itself you would expect WA to win comfortably with their much stronger line up and playing at home.
