A captain's knock from Sutherland getting them home.

That ended up being a surprisingly entertaining game.

Close game. Not sure it’s entertaining watching so-called professional cricketers just slog and get out when they just need a run a ball. It was borderline excruciating.

It was like watching a close footy match where the score is 7.13 55 to 7.12 54. Exciting end but unwatchable for the first 2 hours

Should've but he made several blues in the field

That’s like saying he he missed a couple of full tosses he could have hit for 6.

Relative to everyone else he was still the best player on the field

That game was too affected by the horrendous condition of the ground. If you are an international player why would you come to play on that

It might have been shit but it’s not the first and won’t be the last game to be played in ordinary conditions.

Hell, an odi World Cup match was played on a field that had a f**king tree in the outfield ffs

Dropped a catch and fumbled a certain runout on the penultimate ball that would've put the number 11 on strike. You'd take it for what he did with the bat and ball but it doesn't change that his fielding can be costly at times.

Isn't the only offender though, the Scorchers fielding as a whole is sub par

on the field no one is getting pilloried for not gathering a well struck drive cleanly. The dropped catch maybe but it was pretty obvious that shot didn’t get to him the way a shot along the ground normally would

Little bit off early in BBL 14,Scorchers.
Taking nothing away from the Gades .Who controlled the match from the start.

I get it but we whinge and bitch about the quality of the competition and about players not coming or leaving early and the ground is dished up in that condition…should be better

It was ordinary, not disputing that, more disputing that it has an impact on the product - I haven’t watched much of the tournament this year admittedly but that’s easily the most entertaining game so far IMO aside from maybe the thunder match the other night

I get that the players expect and deserve a certain level of facility and that’s definitely understandable.

But after half a dozen overs I think it became clear that it wasn’t a safety hazard, so by that point hopefully players realise ‘ok, it’s not a threat to my health, I’m here to do a job to the best of my ability, let’s get it done.’
