I don't think Dusty is doing that to be clear. I think he is retired, but if he retired & we all sit around singing his praises for retiring a 1 club player & then 2 months later went to GC to ride a tandem bike with Dimma, instead of accepting the sign on extension for better money to remain a Tiger - i think that would be piss-poor for sure. It would 100% seem premeditated and 100% justify David Schwartz story and make it seem like it was all arranged as a PR exit from his management for him to have his cake and eat it too.

That's just not true and I wish people here would stop saying it. Dimma did us a huge favour. We were going nowhere with him at the helm, he was out of ideas for that squad and he knew it was time for him to leave and let us refresh after an amazing era.

It was never six weeks that's just absolute BS.

If you know anything about burnout and the damaging effects it has on you and the people around you you'd stop this toxic narrative and just let the dust settle on an incredibly successful coach who gave everything he had to us until the tank was empty.

1. The error your flagged has been fixed, thanks for letting me know.

2. Dusty wasn't just a "Finals Specialist" and granted others in that table probably have a better Home & Away record. But in Finals he went to another level which the others probably couldn't go to.

Not criticising the GOAT at all, but I wonder why he didn’t finish the season. He could have skipped the Saints and Hawks games then finished at the MCG in front of a home crowd. If his back was the issue wouldn’t the two weeks off and some painkillers have been enough to get him through for a big send off?
