Apparently Creeks new stratergy is to throw huge money everywhere and if you believe their followers Peake is confirmed as Ass Coach, Pilcher from Strath is signed, Lachy Ford is a probable and they are still throwing huge coin at Castlemaine and other local footballers. Big question is have they got it or are they speculating in the hope of signing a couple. Their coach is going all out for success no matter what and maybe he is forgeting the loyal players and young kids who have stuck with them.HAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Very doubtfull... why would Lachy go from the Premiership side to one of the greatest rabbles in country football?? And if the answer is money, where would Creek be getting coin from??
Is Ford originally a Creek boy is he?? If so you cant begrudge him going back there, premiership or not.

The question is why is he going there when he left years ago to go to castlemaine not happy with creek. If it is to play with brother fine but i would think it is money only and it is not concrete yet with Hepburn circling as well. Newstead would still be dissapointed given he has come out for 1 year only but life goes on. Rumour has it around Castlemaine the Scott Sellers may be in the coaching mix at RoversHe is and his younger brother played there this year.
I know nothing about Campbells Creek but the person that told me is on the commitee there and he told me both deals were done 100% and certain.

It would be good to hear who has taken out each clubs Best and Fairest awards for each grade. Dunolly's vote count is on tonight. Perry Turner won the u/17's Best and Fairest with Brock Gray runner up. The junior count was held a couple of weeks back.
Newstead's senior Best and fairest was a tie between Mark Oxley and Ethan Ford. Sam Kerr was runner up.

Any teams changing coaches for the 2010 season? Reasons??
They told me they signed him last year but he decided to go to Newstead after the agreement.
There are a lot of clubs chasing Ford outside our league too. If it's all about the money, he wouldn't have signed by now. You can't blame him for going back to Creek and help out.

Want to be careful about what they told you, as the actual truth is they spoke to Lachy after newstead had already made an agreement with him.
Cant sign anyone at the moment unless its on a contract and cant see anyone signing one at this stage of the year.
Lachy will work out what he wants to do in his own time.
Nice to see you on this forum maineman, but I would wait until the dust settles before we see who goes where,
But I have heard that there are 12 of the castlemaine senior side going to MCDFNL clubs for next season.
It certainly is the silly season. Talking and signing are 2 different things and the money to get AFl players is a sticking point. There are other options if you have a committee who are prepared to look. I bet the senior players would be wrapt to read they need a cleanout. I think you sour grapes about not holding players relate to the committee as much as the culture.A lot will depend on who Castlemaine announce as senior coach and they are talking to a couple of very recently retired AFL legends who would no doubt attract good quality players to the club.
Big changes happening at the club on and off the field so it will be interesting to see how it pans out. To be honest a clean out of senior players is probably required as the culture at the club is fairly sick at the moment.
Having said that I know that a couple of blokes that have been mentioned on here as heading to Newstead have found it quite humerous to read.

Royal park have sacked Ashley Davidson after just 1 season a new coach has already bee signed. I won't reveal who til they announce on the 16 th of this month.
I have a feeling that Sellers will coach Rovers next year! They are playing their cards very close to their chest which is unusual! Something is brewing!
Will Sellers have any pull over Maine players? I assume a lot of his mates from there would favour Newstead over Rovers?
