KingRich said:Yes very interesting result! I cant remember the comp having a team that is so far out in front for a long time! And its not like Newstead and Rovers are poor sides!
Looking forward to hearing from Dorm Boy about how they won by so much!
SiMoSaYs said:He kicked 5 this week, an awesome on ball player who rest's on a forward flank, was playing at Kangroo flat last year i think???? His Brother Daniel coaches Harcourt.

just another one for you, how are royal park going and in particular, the whitehead boys?
Scroater said:Don't know who Dorm boy is but I went to the game as my boy plays u17's for Newstead.
1st quarter Harcourt 7 goals to 1. Smith kicked a couple and McLean won most of the centre breaks, which resulted in goals. Balshaw(9) goes alright on a flank, looks like he is about 50 but runs like an 18 year old. Newstead struggled to keep up with him. No Oliver, Daniel Christmas is out and Oxley didn't play.
Half time Harcourt 7 goals Newstead 3. o'brien was doing a good job on Blake although Blake was harshly treated a few times by umpire Dowling. Ramsey also doing a good job on Stone. (goalless up to 1/2 time) Ramsey also took mark of the year in the quarter and then tried another which saw Berry leave the ground. Ben Christmas also off to hospital with leg.???
3rd quarter, O'brien off ground, Blake came into it and Smith kicked a couple more as well as Berry who came back on. Tunn also off for Newstead with a knee. Balshaw kept running, good pace good mark for size, and age
Another 6 in the last to Harcourt and she's all over, well she was all over 1/2 way through the 3rd actually, but you know what I mean.
The first half was good hard foot from both sides, unfortunately Newstead couldn't carry it on in the second half. Don't know if Harcourt had any out but Newstead can only improve next time with a full list to pick from. Whether they can win is another thing.
Sherman41 said:very interseting evaluation of the game, agree with king rich that newsteads injuries would have hampered them quite considerably however the overall strength of harcourt is uncomparitable with any other side in the league.

SiMoSaYs said:I disagree, so you are saying you can see another team realisticly chalanging Harcourt?? iIf so, who?
i never said that simo says i said uncomparitible which means no one has the strenght to match them on, but hey u never know finals footy is finals footy and many things could happen mayb the bird flu may go through there team or something freakish like that.
SiMoSaYs said:Hey Master rock,
I think that the personal attack's you may be referring to are towards some people operating under alias's that is in good fun and reading this thread anyway

Saw the bushy carisbrook game on the weekend. Both whiteheads were yellow carded on seperate occasions and as Justin whitehead was walking off proceeded to headbut a carisbrook player leaving him with one of the darkest black eyes of seen. Bushy rely heavily on their top six players while their bottom six let the side down. Sean Smith played for Kerang last year along with Warren Evans. Both held down senior positions in quite a good side in a very classy league.Wayne Weideman said:cheers simo, harcourt have another bloke who has kicked a swag of goals to don't they?

Scroater said:If you're referring to my description of Balshaw, it was not intended to be a personal insult. I don't know the bloke, never met him, never seen him before. He is short, skinny, bright white hair and from the sidelines looked about 50, but wasn't. Looked like your typical 350 country game player. The way he played was exact opposite of his description and underestimate him at your own peril. Maybe Dorm Boy can shed some more light on him. Have you seen him play, King Rich??
KingRich said:I cant exactly think of the player you're talking about Scroater but they had quite a few winners the day they played Talbot. Will keep an eye out for him next time!
SiMoSaYs said:Wouldn't be "Neil??" Brasser he is thinking of???

Scroater said:According to the footy record, his name is Matthew Balshaw (9). I repeat, in no way did I mean to offend him. Hopefully he plays well when you get to see him.
KingRich said:Yeah I heard one G.Butler came out a bit worse for wear! Apparently he threw the first punch though is that right!?!?! Doesn't sound like him!
Im fairly sure he played at kerang last year in the cmflSiMoSaYs said:He kicked 5 this week, an awesome on ball player who rest's on a forward flank, was playing at Kangroo flat last year i think???? His Brother Daniel coaches Harcourt.
