Chappell XI going on well I see
Not being able to expect much is the whole issue with the concept

Concept is good, grounds and wickets are spot on, nothing wrong with high scoring OD cricket. Where's the next World Cup?
It's so predictable and kills off attacking bowling. Both pretty substantial problems
350 shouldn't be chased down with ease in OD games.
Just.. no. 350 shouldn't be made in an ODI game unless atrocious bowling. This wasn't that, it's a flat wicket with 50m boundaries. Why not? Two new rocks, if you bowl poorly you go the journey. Only one game had a large total chased.

Well it clearly is being made and regularly, where have you been the last ten years?

Last two years - and it's a blight on the game
That is a lie. Scores of over 300 have been made regularly in domestic and international cricket. If Australia has to chase 350 in ODI in India, then it is to be expected they should make similar scores in their own domestic overs competition. The reason it is occurring is because the format is allowing it. As the series moves on, it will tighten up because bowlers adapt and pitches wear. If you want to stay an 80's and 90's baby do so, but don't criticise the game for moving past your stand point.
As reap said above, it's only being made regularly in the last two tears or so. 300 was viewed as a very tough score to chase down not all that long ago. Short boundaries/small grounds are making this a much more common occurrence, but when scores are getting as large and ridiculous as it has been, change is needed.Out of the 23 matches that occurred last year, there were four innings of 350+ of which two occurred in the same match, five innings of 300+ (including the 350+ scores) and 18 innings of 250 or less. So basically, stop talking jazz and being reactionary until you look at the full picture. Thanks.
Their first game and against one of the stronger teams. Can't expect much.
