Kade Simpson talks Carlton upside

Simpson said Kreuzer’s return had boosted morale even further at the club.

"We don’t feel we’re playing our best footy," Simpson said this morning.

"Obviously you want to build to September. We’ve got Kruze (Matthew Kreuzer) coming back in, he’s only going to get better.

"He’s just a team man," he said on SEN. "He plays all those defensive actions, he chases, he tackles.

"And for a guy that’s 200cm to do that sort of stuff is invaluable to the team.

"He was sort of leading all those aspects of the game last year when he went down, and to have him back in is going to push the other boys around him to do that sort of stuff as well."
