Mrs Kerr just doesn't know the facts and besides she's an old lady, probably doesn't know what the internet is, probably quite old fashioned in most things, that's great but this proposal for Carlton is about innovation and progress and the future.pazza said:Probably right Deej..which just makes it even worse...yes let the guy speak his mind (I notice your no.1. lady ticketholder is on board with him), but, try to keep it out of the media..no-one wants to know.

As for Gratten/Ioannou, he's a clown, absolutely no credibility at all. Will get destroyed at the EGM for being the troublemaker that he is. Has had many threats on his life because of his stupidity in this. Did you know he's only 21, he's a uni student, a liberal candidate for thornbury, and if you met him in the pub you'd think he was one of the biggest ********wits in the city of melbourne. I haven't met him personally but i've spoken to him by phone and he's basically a real "thinks-he-knows-it-all-but-really-doesnt-know-********" uni student type. I can't believe our luck that we've got such a nightmare barracking for us, of all teams.
The other bloke Carroll isn't much better.pazza said:Sounds like a typical Collingwood supporter does young Gratton!
Yeah "support the club" that's it. Pat was speaking on behalf of everyone. It's something that was started on TBV and then CSC got involved and "support the club" is basically the name of our combined efforts. Actually it's more than that, it's open for any carlton supporters who want to pledge support for the board and we're having a petition night from 6pm onwards at the Plough and Wheelbarrow in Carlton, 6pm this friday. Rhys is in support of our stance and it's likely we'll get a few ex-players down there to pledge their support also. The media has been invited too. Hopefully we'll get some coverage in Saturday's paper, it'll show the general public that most carlton fans are in support of the board's general direction in the face of what Gratten would have you believe.pazza said:Listened to SEN this morning Deej..KB was interviewing someone about the petition to get behind the board "support the club" wasn't it?
Reckon you might need about 3 reels of paper on Saturday if that petition gets plenty of signatures...hope the CSC and TBV go hard on this one.
With essendon lovers like Rohan Connely and Patrick Smith in the media, most of the vultures that we have problems with at Carlton are in there batting for the bombers, so you'd hardly expect the same type of vindictive anti-carlton type coverage (that we get) about your mob.pazza said:Sounds like an excellent night out and well done to Rhys for opening the pub up for it...the place will fill out and be out the door in no time I reckon...
On the Essendon deal as I remember it at the time, there was a fair bit of "discussion" in regards to it, particularly when it came to leaving the G. However, such discussion wasn't actually reported in the papers or anywhere else, but, was handled in-house. Pretty sure there was motion put that Essendon would remain at the G, but, because McMahon and co didn't allow further discussion at the AGM (unfortunately I wasn't at the AGM, but, have been told a fair bit about it), the motion was going to lose anyway, as the board had enough proxy votes supporting the move. Pretty sad state of affairs really (as I recall, I voted against the move by proxy).
