It seems the media want every Geelong player suspended.

Ottens. The replays have been numerous. He did something stupid, but i have seen at least 50 replays of it. It seemes like some want to make sure he is gone for at least 4 weeks.

Kelly. A little push and Dermie wants him gone. No different to the push that Hurley received tonight. But no-one said a thing. It seems that some media types can not be impartial.

Reiwolt. A kick is a kick unless you are Waite, or Roo.

Total crap. Would prefer we are not televised as then i don't need to listen to Confetti or Lane, biased and crap.

So that's why the 3 w***ers on Tens 1/2 time coverage last night mentioned it.There was absolutely nothing in it.You may as well report every player who slightly nudges his opponent over the boundary line, after all they could hit the fence.

Dermie really is bitter about his drug den in Geelong going out of business.

Re: The Media Attacks WTF

Derm must be suffering from some sort of mental illness because coherent thoughts seem to be very rare for him. He also said when Buddy elbowed a Gold Coast player in the head that "He didn't intend to hurt him," but that Joel Corey's tackle had "intent to seriously hurt."

I don't like seeing blokes get hurt but you do need remember that Dermott Brereton was as tough as they get no doubt but he was a terrible sniper, he use to do some horrible things to players behind the play, how tough do you think you are if you tackle a player to the ground and then get up and step on his face as you run away:eek:

He made an eventual comeback to footy but was quickly put back in his place when a truckie decided to give a little back and broke his jaw putting an end to his playing days as a footballer. Sure it's not right and it's good to see the game clean up those type of acts but still smile when I hear that story and Dermott is now a complete fool. His arrogance and constant talking of himself is so embarrasing not to mention his botox and plastic surgery is just comical. He dislikes Geelong but then again, most bullies dislike anyone who does better in life..that's only natural:thumbsu:

Re: The Media Attacks WTF

Have you heard Dermie on SEN he comes on under the alias of Jim from Hawthorn.

Maybe Dermie posts on Bigfooty. After nearly every Geelong game a thread is started saying {insert Geelong player} will be rubbed out and it's always started by a Hawk supporter.

Funny how our very observant Hawk friends didn't mention the possibility of Nic Nat Paddywhack being pinged for his hit on Taylor Hunt.I guess when the Geelong player is the victim they don't notice it.

I couldn't believe when he and Damian Barrett brought the Kelly push up. Typical media beat up, they can't just report stories they have to put their spin on it so they become the story and not the players.

Then they start going on about the AFL need to make a rule about it? Do they really think Kelly intentionally pushed Kerr into an on-coming player? He pushed Kerr out of the way because he was going to get the ball.

Later in the show they were showing highlights of another game and some player bumped an opposition player into the path of a team mate and the opposition player was pole-axed? Nearly exactly the same thing they were crapping on about earlier. No mention of that though.

I suppose the MRP will get nervous now about the 'media attention' and decided to do something about it. :-/

Oh by the way, Ottens was stupid and deserves a holiday.

Wouldn't worry about Dermie, he is an irrelevant, egotistical, bitter, Geelong-hating oxygen bandit with no credibility. Like most other Hawthorn people, those rose-coloured glasses of Breretons and obvious hatred of Geelong cloud his ability to talk sense with anything footy.
Ottens was undisciplined, will cop the holiday he deserves. Didn't see the Kelly incident? From the sounds of it it is more than likely the media are making a mountain out of a molehill with this one again. No mention of media lovechild Nic Nat with his hit on Taylor Hunt though, hypocritical of them much?

People actually take notice of what Dermie says about Geelong?!
I would have thought by now that we would all know that you can get more rational sense out of watching a dog shit than what you do listening to Dermie.

I noticed that comment as well from Captain ********, co-incidently, that's the last time I watched the sunday morning footy show.

The one that really made me laugh was the herald sun the day after the players meeting at crown. Front page, picture of Mackie, Corey and Scarlett, quote "Geelong come to fight". Open up the paper and there is pictures of "Stars", from Saints, Collingwood and Carlton, but "Geelong came to fight".

Strange how the media has seemed to totally gloss over this incident is it maybe because NicNat is a AFL darling and everyone must do everything they can to only show the big Fijian in a positive light so the AFL can get more people interested in the AFL.

If it was any other player the incident would have been shown a few times on the night and even more afterwards and all the talking heads would be up in arms

did goddard get a reprimand for his knee nearly making contact with a port players head?

He surely did was said to insufficient force to warrant any further action.

It is amazing how if the media don't bang on about an incident the MRP don't seem to rub players out only give them reprimands:rolleyes:

SEN's 'The Run Home' tonight was painful. Unfortunately Francis Leach was absent and we were stuck with Mark ****head Allen and the Ox. I was only listening to it intermittently, but every time I did listen they were talking about how Ottens should have received more and they continually glossed over his five year good record saying that anyone that makes head high contact should be goooooooooone.

Seeing as my phone number has been banned, I went on to Twitter to try and make a point about the media always crying for players to be suspended one week then crying about a player getting too many weeks or too few.

I may have to try calling in next time. Or, stop listening to their tripe. But I oh so crave footy talk sometimes and SEN is the only remedy. Or BigFooty. Hmmm.
