They were also replacing the city end scoreboard during November

Looks tomorrow will be the first event with the new boards in operation, also the Olympic/ponsford stand signs have been switched to green like the Warne stand

Per Stuart Fox, level 1 seats in the Warne Stand replaced this year (as mentioned numerous times on this thread) and level 4 next year

A bit like Aussies calling American Football "gridiron" - the gridiron is the field, so it would be like calling cricket "pitch" or Aussie Rules football "oval".
At least 20 year old technology - have a look at some of the scoreboards at NFL stadiums - tech is lightyears ahead.
We ain't the only ones to call it the Mexican Wave. It's the standard term used outside North America -

The Punt Road/City end scoreboards were replaced 10/11 years ago
Fox said any Warne Stand redevelopment would be 2030/31 at the earliest.
