Many of his best games in late 2012/2013 were in close matches or against good sides.

He is presently a quality player period

Not having a crack at him generally, as he is becoming a fine player. but it is fact that if west coast win big he always gets crazy stats, well above his averages. Last two years west coast have won 8 games by more than 70pts.

Mastens stats in those games are as follows:
39 disposals 1 goal
26 disposals 1 goal
32 disposals
34 disposals
30 disposals 3 goals
33 disposals
29 disposals 1
25 disposals 1 goal

Overall (ie inclusive of the above games), he averaged a bit under 24 touches a game during that time, or 22 a game if you exclude the above games. Pretty conclusive of my point I would have thought.
