I see the clubs got a tally of the number of members we have so-far. They have also changed the membership section of the web page around slighty aswell. Lets hope we can go beyond last years total. As of today Monday the 17th of November we have 214 members;

Great game. The Last Quarter is Sensational. Still have the copy I taped from TV and it's still in pretty good condition.

As for membership, haven't received anything in the mail, but will probably wait until the new year, when we have a better idea of the families health.

Watched the game and thoroughly enjoyed it, interestingly at one stage McAvaney said Essendon will win the flag this year(they did). Mick Martyn was probably our best that night, MacAdam wouldn't chase or tackle and constantly abused teammates which is why he was given the flick. Longmire reminded me why he was always highly regarded despite his atrocious kicking. Archer was skinny but very tough and hard at it as was Stevo. Carey ... well he was simply superb, to see him take overhead marks one on one to see him run with the flight of the ball and jump into packs to mark, to see him kick goals from outside 50 and do it easily.
Fantastic stuff which one do I get now?.

ps. Hope your family are OK.:)

Ok, my renewal's been sent in so add one adult - and my Baby Joey will be signed up again this week too. Last year I put down David Teague as his favourite player, wonder who I can give the Kiss of Death to this season?

btw mine is an AFL club support membership - my NMFC pack hasn't crossed Melbourne yet!

I've signed up as a Canberra Kangaroo.

My husband barracks for Richmond, I barrack for Essendon but as far as we're concerned, if the Kangaroos are the only club willing to bring the AFL to Canberra (and help us cope with the constant Sydney coverage/talk) then we are willing to put our money where our mouths are.

We are both interstate members of our clubs but we want North to keep coming here and playing and we also understand that it would not be a cheap exercise, so we want to support them and keep them coming back.

Besides it is MUCH easier to like North now that Carey is gone!!

Woo hoo! good on you, makes it easier to see the boys head north when we hear things like this.

This is the reason we have to be willing to keep with the ACT games. If we only get say 1000 members in the area, that works out the be an extra $100,000 for us(round figure of $100 per member).

Good on ya Tinker. I've taken the family up there a couple of years in a row now, and we love watching the footy at Manuka Oval. It's a great place, and there is plenty of things for the kids to do up there as well.
