Sorry folks, took a bit longer than expected (who woulda thunk it?)

I was bamboozled this week trying to find a moniker for a West Coast-Richmond merger that is a reflection on both clubs, like Lion + Eagle = Sphynx, Demon + Hawk = Firebird.

Tiger + Eagle = ???

Then it came to me: The Perth Predators -with the eagle being the undisputed "bird of prey" in the air, and the tiger a feared omnivore amongst the land animals, this was the perfect marriage.

I decided to use the bad-ass colours of black (Richmond) and blue (WCE), with white, a combination I hadn't seen here yet. The eye motif seen on the logo was obvious to me - ever heard of the terms "Eagle Eye" and "Eye of the Tiger"? Inside the eye, you might notice some white detailing in the pupil: a wing shape, on the left, representing the eagle; and a tooth, representing the tiger.

The latter is used on the Home design to replicate the WCE wing on the left, with the blue iris from the logo forming a Richmond-esque sash (I decided to swap the front and back around this time to best show the continuity of the design).

The white away kit was chiefly inspired by the first Richmond jumper, featuring thick vertical stripes. I tied this in with a thinner white line down the middle ala West Coast's home guernsey, with the stripes separated from the white by the central eye logo.

I hope you can still count me in one of the last polls onyacoxy :)

thats a ripper Smeagle ... a team sure to win the hearts of all Westerners when they run out onto the ground with Eye of the Tiger playing as their club song.

Looks pretty great Smeagle. Still don't know how you can create those sort of logos from scratch in Paint :thumbsu:

One gripe I have is the reversing of your guernseys - it's a bit harder to interpret with the back coming before the front - any reason behind that?

Thanks for the cooments guys.

What I mean is that the design looked kind of strange with the front on the left, as you can't really appreciate how the eye/sash continues onto the back. You're probably right though Gibbsy; just thought I might give it a try.
