Hope all you fellow Bulldogs have a happy and more importantly safe Xmas and New Year.

As you are all inferior to me, in every way, I feel it necessary to give my best wishes to the minions for their collective worship and acceptance of my wisdom on Bigfooty and hope very much you all make it back in 2016 for more of my amazing knowledge and guidance.

As I live in a heathen principality where AFL is not even a religion, and WB fans are as rare as Dale Morris goals, BF sustains my pack instincts as a Dogs supporter. It provides that tribal experience that as a kid and a young man I loved about VFL (as it was called then), and which gave the game its fanatical supporter base and the wonderful character and traditions that it has in Victoria.

It helps sustain my faith, living in this pagan wasteland.

We occasionally have our squabbles within the tribe but for the most part we sing the same hymn, pay homage to the same idols and icons, hang on every word of the same priests, wear the same robes, attend the same roofed cathedral each week and pray for the same ultimate deliverance.

We are fellow worshippers who for a few hours each week can rant and roar with rapture and passion - unselfconsciously and with barely a sniff of rationality - without needing to maintain the sober plurality of outlook that modern society expects of us for the rest of the week.

So may it be a very long time before Big Footy goes the way of the place kick ... and a very short time before we are all gleefully placing our orders for a DVD of the just-completed Grand Final.

A safe and Merry Christmas to you all.

Best wishes to all. My best gift this year is a trip to Vegas on Saturday for four nights. My brother used his Southwest Airlines points for the trip for me and will be coming up from downstate Illinois to take car of mum while I'm gone. She needs 24/7 care so I haven't been to Vegas in over two years and my last trip away was to Melbourne in February of last year for a week to renew my Permanent Residency. My four nights at Paris Casino have been comped by Caesars. They must really miss winning my money! My health has not been the best this year, but my doctor gave me the OK to travel. My goal is to check out the Bloody Marys in as many casinos as possible to see if Planet Hollywood still reigns supreme.

It's Christmas eve morning here so I guess I can still wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Doggies Premiership and Cubs World Series Championship in 2016!:D

brings you all a finer appreciation of statistics and how in time
they shape your destiny.

May 2016 bring us world peace, prosperity and happiness or
a game plan with a higher kick to handball ratio which ever

Merry Christmas to all on Big Footy. Like Dogwatch, what I hope for is that this time next year I am opening up my present from my children which includes a DVD of the Grand Final and one of "The Season that Was". As a supporter since birth and a member for over 30 years, surely that is not too much to wish for. I truly believe that for the first time in my life this wish is closer than ever before to becoming a reality. Bring on 2016 - go dogs!!

Hope you got some more angry pills from Santa. I want the old MD back.

Hope you have a great Christmas mate , as I do for all my Bulldog comrades .
Can't wait till we all get together to celebrate that long awaited cup ;)
