yeah Im starting to like it... being new to the series it just took me off guard as it was the last thing I expected

Good to hear mate. It's a tricky starting point for the series, as timeline wise it's roughly smack bang in the middle of all the other games. There's plenty of stuff referenced from the games set prior to it, whilst it's also setting up stuff for the games set in the future. If you manage to get to the full ending, your mind will be pretty full of WTF :D

It's what happens when Konami steps in and doesn't allow Kojima to release the game he wants.

Ain't that the truth. I wonder if that's the reason Kojima decided to plaster Kojima, Kojima, Kojima,Kojima on every bloody chapter and orifice of the game.

Probably. I wish we got his game. However I think he said he had a lot more missions.

Repetitive missions and you will raid the same outposts over and over... and over...........and over.

I was able to look past the silly story and the supernatural stuff which I didn't like at all because the game play itself is top notch and completely excellent in every aspect but I couldn't finish the game due to the repetition. I was able to sink about 40+ hours in before I was completely unmotivated to continue.

The hours you should get out of it are well worth it for $35 but anyone who thinks it was in the race for GOTY 2015 are way off the mark IMO.

I'm playing last of us and coming to an end

I think I might wait till uncharted thief send comes out

Do it, cant go wrong for that price. There was one point where I spent a few nights grinding side missions waiting for a new story mission to open up, before I realized it had been there the whole time.

I wont lie, it can get repetitive. You find yourself on missions to capture people/items at outposts you have already cleared 3 or 4 times. Its still good fun though.

Yeah gumtree has plenty of cheapies

I'll try it and see how I go

I started playing this in the past week. The opening hospital scene pissed me off. Too much watching and waiting to play. I've finished the first mission in Afghanistan. It was pretty fun. Not very hard though. I can see this game being quite easy once you get a sniper rifle. Maybe I'll go back and finish off MGS4 instead.

Had a crack over the weekend, remembered why i stopped playing in the first place. Stuck on a mission. With Quiet when have heaps of tanks attacking, use my launcher but just always find a stupid way to die.... Grrrr

That was a frustrating mission.

I tried half a dozen times over the weekend, would of tried shite loads more previously

The one near the end with the multistorey ruins? I do recall getting rather annoyed with that one...From memory I was just alternating between all the windows, firing a quick shot and moving on to the next window/hole to shoot from. Also up the top of the ruins. Then hiding while waiting for the supply drop.

You just reminded me how much that mission drove me crazy!

I loved this game but alas I wasn't great at it

As a game it's brilliant piece of work ...at times it's a grind to play ....but if your patient it's very rewarding game

Just finished this. Man what a cluster**** of a game. Dumbest and most frustrating game ive probably ever played.
I pretty much stopped after the middle of the game.

The second half of the game was pretty much the same bloody missions again, its a pity as otherwise it was pretty good.

I still can't believe some review sites were calling this game of the year 2015

As with most games they get reviewed after only 5-10 hours of game play. This is so they can get out their review as quick as possible to get traffic to their websites. I can see how people would think it was an elite game after only that time and give it a really high score. I loved the game play. Unfortunately it just didn't evolve as the game went on. Outside 1 or 2 missions late in the game, the game just didn't get harder or more interesting, despite the player getting better (and getting better weapons). It was just same old same old.

The game had so much potential. A missed opportunity for sure.

Just way too much was thrown into the game. I put in a **** ton of hours and still couldnt even fully develop mother base. Which was komani trying to get people to the online mission deployments. Not sure what their real purpose was though. As soon as I saw 2 days for a mission minimum that went on ignore.

I was well truly over it and just wanted to finish the main story but had to keep doing this other pointless crap for the story to unlock. I even did a couple of the repeat missions until i figured out they dont unlock the rest of the game. **** me.

What a dissapointing way for the franchise to end. Well Kojimas time with the franchise.
