Question about Rod Laver - does each seating section start with row A? With row B the second row and so forth? Just wondering. :) I have been there before but I can not remember this.

Im going for the 3rd show on Thursday via the Metclub when I get paid. Got tickets for the 1st show...I just hope they play Fade to Black in the 1st show, then I'll be happy.
 
Picked up Gold seats this afternoon but went back and found GA so got them aswell for the Sunday show.

Will wait until tickets arrive and then sell the Gold seat.

But seriously, im a metclub member, so got the tickets for each show once presale started for metclub, was lucky to snag GA for all 3. Will be a long, epic, weekend.
 
Didnt buy tix to Adelaide today because all i could get were crappy seats up the back to the side. Wanting to get standing tickets on thursday. Hopefully I can pull it off. What are my chances?

I think it's complete luck. Seriously even if you get on at 9 on the dot you might not get them. But someone who logs on 15 mins later may. All the best!

What's the deal with getting a ticket to any one of the three Melbourne shows? Ticketek says that the Sunday show still has Gold and Silver seated tickets yet it doesn't seem to want to give me any. The My Ticketek Internet Pre-Sale apparently doesn't end until 5pm tomorrow.
 
Just got Silver tickets for the Sunday show.

When they say allocation exhausted for certain things, does that mean pre-sale allocation or total allocation? Seems a bit rough for it to come on sale to the general public on the Thursday and for barely anything to be left.

For those interested, you can still get them on Ticketek now.

There should still be plenty of seating left for all shows, standing may be a bit of a problem though.

Will there be any standing 15 mins after 9am? I do not think so. Do people on here think Metallica can sell out three rod laver shows in one day ? I was really surprised Greenday could not sell out two Rod Laver shows.

Well I somehow got GA at 2:00 last Friday, an hour after it said Allocation Exhausted and for some reason went back to Available...

Are pre-sale tickets released in batches or did I just luck out...or is an error and my tickets aren't real? :(

And I reckon they can, it's been a long time since Metallica was in Australia. And even longer since they performed their own gig, not just a one hour setlist at BDO or something.
 
hey all got metallica floor tickets in brisbane today, so stoked coz i could only get silver reserve during the visa presale. anyways now i'm just thinking, i'm a 19 year old male, and am quite a small build (about 175cm, 65kg), i'm going with my mate (same age and build as me) and girlfriend, should we be afraid? haha cheers for the heads up.
 
also, is it true we can't get our tickets until september 1st?? that's what ticketek told me in my e-mail? pain in the arse, i wanna be able to look at my ticket for the next 5 months haha.

If that's true, that's just wrong. It said when I ordered my ticket, the ticket will take 7 to 14 days to arrive by regular mail.

I looked yesterday out of curiosity, and continuously kept looking at the Perth 2nd show, and about 10 minutes after I still managed to pull a GA ticket.

Didn't take it though, can't really afford it given I'm supposed to go on a weekend escape next week, but I was just curious.

I'm guessing that people all would have lined them up on their ticketek page but just left it there and it's timed out and thus released them back into the public domain.

Yeah, but there's a disclaimer somewhere that said tickets will be delayed..

alright a bit of a noob question...The tickets go on sale for the public tomorrow so if i go to the local ticketek at 9.00am will i be able to pick up tickets for any of the shows?

I'm assuming they'll still have general admission tickets left, given each presale has their own allocation, so probably.

That said, you won't physically get the ticket until September. No idea why it'll take so long.
 
I have tickets for the first two Melbourne shows and was going to try my luck for the 3rd Melbourne show for good seated tickets in the general sale. Since the Ticketek website is a massive fail and I'm stuck in queue, looks like I'm settling for 2 shows. Can't be unhappy with that though!
 
Just got 2 GA tickets to the 2nd Adelaide show, about 30 seconds before my session timed out :D
