How longs he predicted out for, anyone know?
Amare Stoudemire saw the team doctor yesterday regarding his sore right knee.
Team president and general manager Bryan Colangelo said the possibilities ranged from Stoudemire continuing to play to ``diagnostic surgery.'' ``We have no information at this time with respect to a direction with regard to Amare's knee,'' Colangelo said. ``We are continuing the evaluation process and trying to determine the best course of action.''

Cheers.

So basically ``We have no information at this time with respect to a direction with regard to Amare's knee and our season ,'' Colangelo said. ``We are continuing the evaluation process and trying to determine the best course of action.''

I think you guys will struggle a fair bit without Amare. You lost JJ and Q and replaced them with Thomas and Raja Bell.

Amare is as important to you as Nash. Marion, Nash and Jimmy Jackson will carry a lot of load and as you said Kurt Thomas really needs to earn his money now.

Looks like Kings would now have to be the favourites for the Pacific.
Yep, spot on.

In the off season we replaced offensive threat, with defence and size.

Without Amare our offence ain't looking good.

Depending on the severity of the injury, we could see the biggest PPG turn around in following seasons by a team in NBA history.

I'm not fussed about losing Q. But this is the sort of situation where JJ1 will be missed.
He'd be good to pick up SOME of the offensive hole left by Amare's abscense. Unfortunately with the strong focus on defence in the off-season we're gonna struggle big time to consistently score +100. In the tough WC, Amare will need to be on court sooner rather than later, or we could well find ourselves a lottery team next season.

Either way with Amare down, Brad Miller will probably take the reigns as the best Centre in the NBA for the start of the new-season. :)
