You are right, we can only hope.
He has played like crud all year.
Not sure about the first incident, but will get 2-3 for the punch to Welsh after he kicked the goal.
Milburn is obviously starting to get sick of players giving him a pasting every week.
Now he knows how all the supporters feel.

Definite trade bait come seasons end.

One lives in a caravan and is our forward coach, despite never playing there himself.

The rest are no names.

Normy Dare?

Definate plus if lives in a caravan. How can you knock a bloke with a name like Norm, who also puts his head down in a cravan in some sh1t part of Geelong?

Not much wrong with that.

Knowing the hypocricy of the AFL I bet he gets off on technicality. He'll get off because there is no clear evidence where you actually see the fist connecting to the ribs unless there is a different angle.

If he gets off its ridicilous:mad:

Yeah, Norm.

He also wears thongs

Yet to see the bad side.

Ben Graham lives in a big house and drives a nice car, probably paid for with his captaincy bonuses.

Spot the problem.

Surely he will be reported for two crude incidents this weekend...and with his record...

2 crude incidents?

The only one I can recall, after watching the game from at the ground and later at home was a late punch to Scott Welsh. Very similar to what Ben Dixon did last week, 1 week only.

What was the other crude incident? If you call whacks in the stomach crude then you really need to watch some past footy games from a few decades ago.

As Phat said. What record? One suspension. Yes, very poor indeed.

Don't be fooled by Norm Dare living in a carvan park. Next time you see him ask about the house he has on the Gold Coast along the beach.

Yeah a 'love tap' that Welsh said made it hard for him to breathe! And you think that is 'ok' do you???

Ah, if he thought it was ok, why would he say it was worth a week?

Read the entire thread before throwing a hissy fit.

I did read the whole thread, I just dont like him calling it a 'love tap' - thats just ridiculous.

Perhaps, but it wasn't the most violent of punches. Just happens that he got him in the right spot.

9 times out of 10 Welsh would have gotten up unhurt, given it was only a glancing blow, rather then a fully fledged punch.

A week in it, no more.

Raising the elbow into the stomach is now a reportable offence, I would have thought. Punching someone in the ribs usually isn't condoned either.

And that particular report was quite bad, as we all remember

As Scotty Welsh vomited on hands and knees for about 5 minutes on and off the field after the punch, he might disagree with your assessment that it wasn't the most violent of punches. He only came back on because we ran out of players in the end.

IMO Milburn would cut a deal for 2 games if he gets cited as he should.

Since when has the severity of the injury determined the strength of the blow?

If you honestly thought that was a violent blow, then you must have led one hell of a sheltered life.

You also must never been whacked in the ribs, if you had, you'd realise that even the softest glancing blow can do damage, especially when you're unable to flex the muscle beforehand.

As i said earlier, a week, no more.

Milburn got him pretty badly with an elbow to the ribs as he came down from a mark in the second quarter. Milburn was running at full pace and raised the elbow - no intention to punch the ball, and Welsh was defenceless. Should have been a 50 (Welsh missed the shot at goal). Milburn landed his punch on the same spot later in the game - looked like he was trying to take him out of the game, and he should get a holiday for that. Both acts were reckless.
