Miller & March admit we scimped on recruiting

I'm sick of these admit threads.
I live for the day when other clubs admit they should have done it the Richmond way in the future.

Listening to MMM & 3aw pregames, Miller and March were on.

They basically admitted the last 5 years the recruiting department had a shoestring budget - that basically Miller was it. That the club didn't have the finances of other clubs to spend on areas such as recruiting and player development.

That's why were in deep poo with our recruiting over the years. It's only now we are starting to bolster those areas.

In an interesting comparison, it seems we spent much of our football budget on an expensive coach who was good at marketing the club. On the otherhand, the Hawks hired a cheaper, up & coming coach and put most of their budget into recruiting and player development.
