That's easy, whenever there's a contest get it and snap it to the furthest boundary (forward half) and he will pop up. Make sure it goes in front of him though he doesn't like the defensive half of the ground.
So its not just me then. I couldn't have said it better myself.;)

Walked the dog down Apex last night, Saw Gol Gol doing a bit of running (not at a slow pace too) about 15 of them running back to apex from the lock or homestead .They dont look that Old for an Older slower Team. The oldest would of be there little coach. Also the young Sth boys having a run on the Sand, not many old heads down there.

Does anyone know the new Millewa web site???? Just want to look at the in's and out's with clubs in this league. Has there been any real movement with clubs lists and nnot just talk
Ladder for 09 (what I think anyway)
Bambill$$$ (as much as I hate to say it)
Gol Gol
Euston or Meringur
Werrimull
Nang
Cardy
GF like last yr the best team on the day will win.
Two or three players don't make a team and can not beat a team by
Themselves, unless teams like Meringur and Werrimull sign about 6 players that fit in with the other better players I can not see much Difference.
Yes Gol Gol and euston have lost a few but will have the depth to cover. (and both will recruit player's to replace the out's).
Should be a close season again which is great for the league.

millewa site is not up and going yet

Harro sucking up to a team member (I would say mate but he does not have any) then again they are nearly related now poor Luke !!!!

Why is the Jake, has Luke left Cardross or are you no longer playing with them?

As for your opinion you are entitled to it however it probably confirms most peoples thoughts on your football brain.

ok, a timely warning before the season starts.
its ok to have opinions of players but anything defamatory or in an abusive manner will attract a warning then red card.
Lets try and keep our thread clean of all that rubbish, its not really needed.:thumbsu:

Can anyone shed light on why there is no interleague game in the hill this season? Not a bad trip away. Does it have to do with the way the town was left after the boys run a muck? Great bonding weekend.

Awesome bonding was a great weekend last time. Might have something to do with the committment level? If Broken Hill are serious they will pump the Millewa as they did in 2007. Really not a great matchup, they are miles ahead of the Millewa in my view.

The 2007 interleague team had some pretty talented players with Aaron Mac, Hally, Meggsy and Hoops yet we still got flogged. Last years Millewa team did well and i don't want to take anything away from them because they clearly deserved to win but the visiting side wasn't a shadow on the 2007 team we played down there.

You have your players mixed up.
you must be thinking of a bloke called Robo when he played for Cardy afew years back.
Played very much like that :D
Oh and just add acouple of 50 mtr penalties a game and we have a match.:thumbsu:

I believe Luke is leaving the area

Ah Rocket the moderator, 2 x 50 metres in a season against Vs 8 for is not a bad ratio if you ask me. Quite proud of that actually.

Perhaps if some of the other players played with some passion also things might turn around out there. Instead of everyone having a crack at guys that have a go they seem to piss in the pockets of the lazy talent wasters with no heart. The club has no direction and is basically making up the numbers. It's sad because there are some good blokes and decent footballers there.

Im only having a laugh skeeterman.:D
wasnt it 2 x 50 in one game?
and if Cardy are just making up the numbers then where are the teams like Werrimul and Nangiloc, who finish below Cardy last, going to go?

Yeah it was , not ideal but a good effort (especially by me) over the entire season.

Ahh Harry i guess i had at least 8 from the free kicks i received as mentioned but other then that i'm sorry, i'm no good at counting when it gets to double figures.

Sorry i missed this bit before.

What i am saying is Cardy never seriously challenge for a flag, Werrimul may be down but they seem to have success at times and won a flag a few years back.
Nangiloc i would put in the same boat as Cardross but the difference is their location really holds them back and it is something they can't overcome wereas cardross are not far from town and recruiting should be made easier by this.
Anyway thats the Millewa and i doubt things will change, it's still a great league however uneven due to many reasons.
I know if i moved back i would be looking to win a flag in the last couple of years of my career and there is only a couple of clubs you could seriously look at joining if that was your objective.

Every now and then a club does well and pinches one like Euston last year but sustained success has been achieved at very few clubs in the league.

the main reason why its hard to have sustained success is because the league doesnt have a reserves side, so the only way to bring in new players is to hunt for them.
Mainly from the same league or Sunraysia league.
only a couple of teams can claim sustained success but as we all know it comes with cash

Well all it seems to be ok for Bambill and Golly.

Sustained succeess may come from having cash but how do you think the cash is generated? I hate when people say that one committe works harder then another because all have the best interests of their clubs at heart but mayeb some do work harder or smarter.

For instance Bambill actively recruit (as you mentioned they have to as no junior or reserves) and they start early and are quite thorough in their process. Yes they may offer money for some players as all clubs do but that money is generated by committee memebers raising cash through sponsorship etc.

Now if you have the funds to spend on players of course you will. Perhaps the successful clubs are more pro active or innovative in chasing sponsorship, maybe they make the extra calls to busineses, have more social functions, ensure player membership is paid for and have an infrastructure in place to run the club as a successful business.

You can knock the successful clubs that pay players but they work equally if not harder then all clubs as they generally run a tighter ship overall and therfore deserve all the success they achieve.

are you hinting at something here?;)

Yeah i guess so although not intentionally. I am yet to play in a Premiership and obviously that is the most important goal or should be anyway of all players, it certainly is for me.

If i ever move back i would be looking at a club like Bambill that are not only good social clubs but they are successfull on the field, would be a great way to finish up i reckon.

I'm sure Bambill would love to have you there. Hunty speaks very highly of you.
