I think its a fair article. Lets be honest Brayshaw is more chance to hold up the premiership as captain then what fyfe is.
Brayshaw is ready to lead next year he will be 23 in November and close 100 games. Selwood was made captain when he was 24.
No point making Alex pearce a stop gap for a year just give it to Andy.
That performance against Richmond last year when Brayshaw willed the team over the line in the last quarter was enough for me to confirm he is next captain.
Everytime Andy speaks he oozes leadership and calmness. He is also always engaged on the field with his teammates when they kick a goal.
And Fyfe cant get through a full season.

I saw this on Google search. Reckon it should be the full time home guernsey, with the reverse look for away. Just looks so striking compared to current one, and far better than all the other anchor versions from the past. Simple, clean, incorporates all the colors without being busy.
I think the article from Kane is fair. I love Fyfe and I love everything he has given to the club but he doesn't seem like one who builds quality relationships. There's been plenty of smoke about it in the past.
A leader/captain doesn't have to be mates with everyone though. Look at Jordan at the Bulls. You want someone who drives standards across the club.
Having said that - I think there's a point we need to make the shift to Brayshaw. I'd be comfortable for that to be next year but also happy if Fyfe wants to lead the club for one more season.

No rush to bring in Brayshaw for mine

No need to push that onto a young player too early

They did when the players voted for Mundy over Fyfe and then the club changed the rules the following year so Fyfe could get the captaincy.
Mundy should’ve been Captain for a lot longer than 1 year.

As a stop gap let the boy captain in fyfes absence.

I don't know what defines which of the non captain leadership group takes the title for the match, I don't think he have a clear vice captain and then other leadership group members. Three of them are playing tonight.

I’m not convinced
I recall seeing a drop in performance when Fyfe and Mundy were handed the reign’s respectively, why do it to the kid ?
What benefit does it provide him and the club other than load him up with another dimension of shit to worry about .
He’s always going to give 120% that’s just his nature so it’s not a motivational thing .

Brad Sheppard was on the SEN run home program with Haselby today (talking Chapman), what an impressive and intelligent talent. Must get snapped up in the media to replace some of the brain dead talentless individuals. He was of course from a Freo supporting family before being drafted by the evils.
