Christ, how cringe was last week when you compare it to this game.
Just seven short days ago, I eagerly positioned a crisp six pack atop the middle shelf of my refrigerator, carefully removed one can, and proceeded to get comfortable on the lounge in front of the heater. I switched on my television and secured Seven Mate. Anticipation was high, the beer was cold and I had two and a half hours of scintillating football action to look forward to.

fast forward forty short minutes

All skerricks of motivation for the match had dissolved from my body faster than you work up a sweat in a sauna. The beer suddenly tasted remarkably mediocre and my view of the weekend had nose-dived faster than Charlie Sheen on a fresh line. I had briefly forgotten that I supported the Fremantle Dockers

Likely ladder scenario for the next two games

0 Wins: Finish 7th and play Richmond at MCG
1 Win: Finish 6th and play Richmond at Optus
2 Wins: Finish 4th and play Geelong in Geelong (you mofos know what happens next)

I like option two. Now I know we should strive to win every remaining match (and I agree to an extent) but us playing Geelong at GMHBA is exactly what those pr*cks at AFL House want!

And if we win against Geelong we host a preliminary final at home, and if we lose we host a semi at home.

I'd rather the chance to host a prelim

You do make a good point there Taylor. F*ck it, let's win another two!

Correct, we would host Brisbane at home if we lose! A win would see us play Sydney at home.

If we finish 4th then Brisbane is finishing 5th and hosting a final at the Gabba. The AFL won't be sending a final down to Goomba.

Geelong final won't be at GMHBA for a number of reasons.

There won't be the demand for the MCG in the first week like there was in 2013 as there will likely be 2 non-vic finals.

There has also been no finals at the G since 2019 and the AFL will be desperate to get as much footy there as possible in September, not to mention Geelongs capacity is reduced with the redevelopment
