Wow I'm surprised Kerr turned down 16 & 20 if that's true. If it was me I would've signed on the dotted line and walked out. I reckon he will push for more but it will eventually come back to that. Picks 8,16,20,29,30,34 in the draft, aww yeah

Sorry Freo fans, picks 16 and 20 in a draft thats 5 players deep is nowhere near enough for Clark.

Nice try though.

Using that logic, pick 12 would be worthless as well. Nice try though.

Never mind the fact that the draft clearly isn't 5 players deep of course.

What if Mitch decides he doesn't want to go to Melbourne in the next couple of hours? All of a sudden Fremantle won't need to pay quite so much.

only 5 players deep? rubbish, there will be good players all through the first round of draft picks, and a couple discovered in later rounds. It might not be a deep draft, but to say it's 5 players deep is bloody ridiculous.

If you can't get a couple of good players with picks 16 and 20, you should be replacing your recruiters, not trying to screw us for a better pick.

Kinda funny really...

Guy plays 6 years at Brisbane, decides he wants to go home (but 'loves' Brisbane, is grateful for the opportunity they gave him, it isn't about the footy club but about wanting to be close to his family etc, etc)... YET -

Will now probably head to Melbourne to start ALL over, leaving the club he 'loves' and 'appreciates', yet not "coming home" as was the original reason he gave. He wasn't starved of opportunity at Brisbane, nor is he seeking to be played in a preferred position... so why not just stay in Brisbane and save the hassle of relocating somewhere that's not 'home'?

What is he saying about his current footy club?

Seriously, AFAIC he was always going to be a good get, but not by mortgaging the future as we have done often in the past. Let Melbourne have him FFS - he's not that good - and let's take our two first round picks to the National Draft. :thumbsu:

brisbane wants to deal with melbourne, mitch wants to deal with freo.

I'd say melbourne would get him if he wasn't out of contract. Him being out of contract means the decision is up to Mitch.

No, Clark has not stated that he doesn't want to deal with Melbourne, his management has said that he is seriously considering the offer. All he has to do is say no to Melbourne and then we would be out of the race, that hasn't happened yet.

12 + Compo for Clark + 29 kills 16 + 20
MFC have far more space in the cap than Freo
It only depends on whether Clark wants to come to Melbourne

1) Let's not take Barrett at his word.

2) For those saying 16 + 20 is overs, which two players would be available at those picks that will be more valuable to the Lions list? Genuine question.
