True I shouldn't have conflated Hinge's situation with Keays's. Still, I don't pay much attention to clubs who "rate" a guy but then don't want to give them any security or lowball them on wages.

I think this undersells Mitch a little bit.
Have noticed him getting more confidence up in his game of late, and with some more experience will be come more than just 'solid'.
Goog build, good skills, tough and smart with his ball use. All ingredients for a quality AFL player.

For all of Jones faults he probably kept Bolton as quiet as anyone this year playing on his a big part of the game from memory. He does have express/elite pace

Yup, hard at it, quick and skilled. You can see why we're persisting with him at least.
Though it's looking more and more likely he's a back pocket at this level and not a genuine player to build around.

He had a very good game last night. Started with a terrible turnover and a slip, but bounced back and was wonderful in the second half especially. That run-down tackle was brilliant!
