Depends on who I am.

If I'm a speedy small forward, then Jones is more of a problem cos he can catch me.

If I'm a medium forward, then Hinge is probably better in the air.

If I'm a middle aged keyboard warrior, then I could likely be left ungaurded in the square for long periods of time.
Outstanding

Good list call and a good solid no frills player that is perfect for us at this point of our rebuild

I think this undersells Mitch a little bit.

Have noticed him getting more confidence up in his game of late, and with some more experience will be come more than just 'solid'.

Goog build, good skills, tough and smart with his ball use. All ingredients for a quality AFL player.

Look forward to the next couple of years.

Onya Mitch.

He's already played 15 more games for the Crows than his big brother John did.

John is one of only 3 players to have played a single game for the club (2007), the other 2 being Clayton Lamb in 1991 (one of my faves as a teenage Bloods fan) and Tim McIntyre in 2012.

John is 12 years older than Mitch.

Joins on a 2 year deal
Good news. Starting to show what he can do.

Thought Patrick Wilson only played the one?

McIntyre famously has an elite 2 goals per game average.

For all of Jones faults he probably kept Bolton as quiet as anyone this year playing on his a big part of the game from memory. He does have express/elite pace

Yup, hard at it, quick and skilled. You can see why we're persisting with him at least.

Though it's looking more and more likely he's a back pocket at this level and not a genuine player to build around.

A more extreme Mackay.

Liked him in defence. Don’t think he’s a primary rebounder, but think he can really excel as the secondary guy

A key part of our ball movement, without doubt

Has all the right traits to be a quality afl player and I'd say he is already. Looks like he has 100 games experience.

Feels good having him and Michalaney back there with ball in hand after having to put up with Jake Kelly

I saw our old boy Jake got 29 disposals in a loss this round. No correlation between him getting lots of disposals and Essendon underperforming of course

I think you're going to look more and more foolish the longer you keep potting Mitch Hinge...

He's not going to be in our next grand final team. I've staked my VERY GOOD reputation on knowing this guy is a bust. I will put you down for 1x I told you so (and you still owe me that squeeze ya big softy)
