he's played 9...we can tell the future and rate all the other new players just cause they are positive no one argues about rating them. now there's a dud no one can hack to admit it

Think you answered your own question there bud. If he can still prove you wrong that's not the definition of a dud. He's shown some good signs and done a few bad things, but the opportunities and potential is still ahead of him for the time being.
You need a selection in your quiz... "Needs more time to show his future one way or the other". You gotta remember that the 9 games all these new players have played isnt only about their own development but taking on board the entire team game.

doesn't answer at all, i thought connors was a dud for a couple years now he may have changed, i thought polo was going to be a champion now he's leaning towards a dud......what i said does not answer my own question at all bud

Connors has always had potential...mental was his issue.

He has a future at Richmond* due to the fact you didn't put an option in for 'lets wait and see'
*He has only played 9 games for us and I have not ever thought he was a 'dud'. Absolutely no one has a clue what he is going to do for the remainder of the season, he is still a kid. He has made a few mistakes and he has done a few great things, how anyone has given up on him already I have no idea.
Give the boy a go.

Wouldn't you say a DUD is someone that wont do well ever? Thats the way I understand the term. Players can be thereabouts, half descent or mediocre, but for me a dud means someone that is in the Oakley Nichols class.

This is a mid season rating, as i said he could turn it around, but if it was a league where there were only 12 rounds, i would drop him. other than that, teams dont do well when players only put in half a season, that wont get them into finals. same goes for tambling, if he has another good second half to the season its just not good enough. farmer has to have a good second half yet to even be considered and if he does and then does the same thing next year thats not good enough too. he may look good at training for defense coach to say he's in the best 22 but gameday says it all. either they have it or they dont.

re read goodie!!! i have actually stated i hope he proves me wrong, but midway through the year, even while the coach will be judging everyone individually right now and as a team, i have him as a dud, one good game against port(rated by others) in a game which richmond broke the record for tackles, he only layed ONE.some defender he is

C'mon people.... we all want ever RFC player to turn out to be good, but is it not ok to come on here are bag someone (opinion) when you really can see no future in them (early or not)?
Equally, it's ok for everyone to give them (or me) a serve if and when proven wrong... for whatever opinion they may have expressed?
So... I for one will go on record as saying I think he is just to slow for his size, for today's style of game. I also think when Connors returns and if/when Goo, Dea, Grimes etc step up, and/or DH continues to choose to play Lids in the backline, there is really no long term place form him in our backline. Can't really see other options for him elsewhere on the ground.
He does have courage and a thumping kick, but for me, without pace, that is not enough.
Not quite a total DUD, but just an average player (already traded from one clubs list) to me.
Happy to be abused if proven wrong. Won't come on and say 'i told you so' if proven correct.

He has played some good games and some not so good games. I know i've posted negative things about him earlier in the season but I was wrong. Give him a chance.
