Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles have had the same generic type baseball uniform for almost all of their history so I wasn't sure how to do them. The only design feature that had been common in most of their uniforms were the bands on the sleeves. I decided to make this the main feature of the home and away, only making them more prominent by using stripes. The Alternate was based off of this logo: http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/vi...v53g9kq/Baltimore_Orioles/2009/Alternate_Logo
Boston Red Sox
For a team with such a rich history and an iconic identity I really wanted to make the "Red Sox" an integral part of the designs. I figured the best way to do this was to keep the jumpers as plain and as simplistic as possible. Hence, the all blue guernsey with the Red Sox logo and the away, which I aimed to give a bit of a modern touch to. The alternate was based off of this logo: http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/view/7159/Boston_Red_Sox/1908/Primary_Logo
Chicago White Sox
I based the home and away kits off of a uniform that the White Sox wore once that featured a red and blue stripe. However, I kept the black and white and the monogram for the home but made the away white, red and blue stripes. The Alternate was based off of a alternate strip the White Sox wear (I think its a St. Pats day design) but I recoloured it and centred the monogram to footify it.
Cleveland Indians
I couldn't find much inspiration for what to do for the Indians as they had fairly plain designs throughout and I couldn't come up with a good, but reasonably traditional looking design using the logo. (I didn't want to do a logo with swooshy lines as a home considering the Indians are a fairly old club). I decided that with the recent logo change to an extremely simplistic design, I would do the same. However, unlike the Red Sox a simple background colour and logo didn't work as well so I added a yoke and I think it looks alright. The away is based off of the different colour sleeves style that some baseball teams, including the Indians have worn in the past. The alternate is a bit more modern but maintains simplicity, I took the colour from an old logo and the feathers from a logo I found on google images, so credit to whoever made that.
Detroit Tigers
As I was looking at the Tigers home strip I realised that it is very similair to what Carlton wear in the AFL. Although I'm not a big fan of the Detroit monogram I thought it would look alright isolated in a Carltonesque fashion and I turned out alright. The away uses the concept of tigers having stripes and the alternate takes that a step further and incorporates orange.
