1. Augusta Proud
2. Desireux
3. Validator

4. Princess Marizza - Nice horse, Kavangah said it was set for bigger things a few weeks ago. 3rd up now so should be fairly fit, distance is the only query. A good race anda few things could win it...but this one sticks out.
5. (2, 10, 11) Gallopin - should win quite easily really, but Tahnee Tango won well last week with a light weight and the other Speedymac has never been out of the placings.
6. (2, 5, 6, 7, 12) Bowhunter - about time for him to win but a very open race, who knows?
7. (4, 5, 6) Sendeed, the young horse of the race...also Daivd Hayes trained. If very nice should win comfortabley.
8. (3, 4, 10) Barefoot Marvel - very nice over this distance and was good last start. Should win here.

So quaddie is

2, 10, 11
2, 5, 6, 7, 12
4, 5, 6
3, 4, 10

R1 - Chamatry - Any horse whose bought for $1.6mill should be alright. Augusta Proud's race and trail experience should give it a good chance.

R2 - Bold Moment - Ran on strongly on a leader biased track last start.

R3 - Largo Lad - Massive beast, still learning and does thinks wrong, but has potential.

R4 - Classic Truce - Nice weight drop on last two starts, Valley win last week was strong, rounding them up near the turn and drawing clear. Perhaps not a lot of speed in front which may pose a problem if gets too far back.

R5 - Gallopin - Tough, slightly one paced grinder, but should fight right until the line. The 2040m should suit.

R6 - Diamond Cove - Rattled home first up, has a terrific second up record andis drawn well on limit weight. Hopefully an each way price in a big field.

R7 - Sendeed - Typical Hayes horse that comes to Melbourne after racing in Adelaide during the Melbourne Spring Carnival. On the up.

R8 - Senorita De Lago - Not confident on anything in the last, made some good ground at Flemington two starts ago then was very close up last start also. May be ready to break through.

R1 - Will have a look at Piece of the Sky for a place bet, Eurell says its a flash out of the gates. Same broodmare as Liger who started well in its career at MV and same sire as Divine Madonna.

R2 - Wilsons Promontory on class.

R3 - Hard one to pick for such a small field, initially thought Ausvetia, but liked Apple Crumbles last run. Largo Lad obviously smoked it at its last win. Bioko down the bottom has some form through better ones - thats a first 4 right there.

R4 - I thought Id be sneaky and get on Princess Marizza as Im quite confident but it seems a few others have the same thoughts

R5 - Really like Gallopin, steady improver although you have to be cautious at the end of their campaign. Road to Athens I see the only chance as an upset so will have an exacta with these two.

R6 - I liked Anna's Choice and am coming back today as this is the type of field she can beat. Snort and Diamond Cove are good value also.

R7 - I really can't see Arbitration being beaten unless runs into dead ends. Prospects improvement this campaign has been good to see as its always looked promising beforehand without breaking through.

R8 - Like Roughie I really like Barefoot Marvel. Dirt Music is worth a place bet.

Have a good one

With you on Anna's Choice. Difficult race & she gives you a heart attack getting so far back, but with some luck she may just get over the top of them.

Others for me:

R2 Bold Moment - will sooner or later get the luck & win a race in town. Really concerned that Wilson Prom has to give it 4kgs. Don't think there should be that much between them on ability.

R4 Molly's Folly - goes alright here & stepping up to its distance range. Nice claim, PM the clear one to beat though.

R7 Prospect - always shown ability. A bit of gear change has turned him around this time in. Will get a nice run behind HH & should prove difficult to run down.

R8 Senorita De Lago - Dirt Music with 58kgs on a Saturday in the City never thought I would see the day, & quoted as fav in the paper. No thanks had an interest in a hurdler a while ago that that was more than competitive with Dirt Music. SDL on form just wins. Will be interesting to see whether they are tempted to be a bit closer, from the barrier. The heart will be in the mouth &7/4 is not the type of odds I would normally be pushing for this horse, but as they say you can't live on value.

Good Luck Guys

Quaddie- 2/F/6/F

Good Luck all :thumbsu:

Nice run by Augusta Proud, clearly the class horse of the race.

Nice race the next...

5 or 6 good chances.

Desireux is still the winner for mine...good value as well/.

I'm ****ing over losing a quaddie in the last leg really.
He He i hear ya buddy. I had 3 quaddies last weekend 1 in Melb 1 in WA and 1 in Hong Kong and guess what leg i went out in them all. U got it the bloody last leg. Its like someones looking down on us and giving us false hope and then laughing at us.

Well not horse, but tonight on the dogs i had a quaddie going for The Meadows.
For some reason i thought it was Wentworth Park, so i was checking the results of those races and i had all the winners in my quaddie, so i thought oh thats a nice little pickup.

Then i checked my slip and i realised it was actually for The Meadows, crap.
Checked the first race, yep got that one, got the second and the third.
I was thinking oh this isn't too bad, this quaddie should pay more anyway and i have four dogs in the last leg so i have a good chance here.

Check the fourth one and surprise surprise i have the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dogs but not #8 the winner.

Bloody hell.

I had a group quad going and lost in the last leg too. It was a shocker race and even though we had 5 running I wasn't confident!

Largo Lad looks to be well well above this class. That was just pure arrogance the way it sat at the tail and rounded them up at MV of all courses.

Pretty happy with my picks all up - losses on Princess Marizza and Annas Choice but besides that did pretty well. Diamond Cove owes me a collect just like I imagine Lauras Charm gave a few die hards today

How many of you stuck with Princess Marizza.

I had Partiva each way.

Can we blackbook trainer and jockey combinations? Mick Kent and Michelle Payne are going well, everytime i see a horse of there's racing (midweek provincials usually) it's in form and runs well, although i might only be noticing those in form ones, and not the duds, as i don't really follow daily racing that closely.

edit - example is China Causeway in the next, saw its win last start. Threw the jockey on the way to the barrier and cantered a lap of the track and still won easily. Extremely harder here though.
