Well from what i saw, Mooney was trying to hit him, no doubts there, but his elbow was into his arm and i think he was trying to lay a fair bump.
It is impossible to even think you can lay a fair bump on a guy is all but lying on his stomach and the ball is out of the play while you are standing over him. I thought I was watching one of the "badies" on the wrestling with that move. I expected him to get a chair from over the fence. There wasn’t much damage done but the intent to damage was clearly there IMO. This week intent had a week off though so he was lucky. Next week will be different. Maybe the wheel will land on intent, maybe on recklessness or maybe on a new buzz word.

No that would be your "nobody pays any attention to us" coach.

1963 was it?

When sleepy hollow isn't complaining, their bragging about the "greatest day in the clubs history". LOL - we are glad you rate us so highly.
That's pretty funny. st. Kilda isn;t it JD?

Hehe - that was billy brownless. Very much tongue in cheek.

more fool you if you take him seriously. :D
Doesn't your club employ him?

Somebody down there must take him seriously. But I suppose it doesn't take much to pass an aptitude test at Geelong.

LOL @ all the whining from the precious saints supporters.

Whine, whine, whine - that's all we ever hear from you lot.

I guess several decades in the cellar will put you into a negative frame of mind, but seriously fellas - get over your selves.

The tribunal took all of 15 minutes to reach to correct decision, so there was obviously very little in it.

lolol coming from the Shannon Nolls of the AFL.

What about me - Thompson - ooh Hamill hits too hard, Sanderson, oohh we need eyes in he back of our heads, Thompson, ooohh they only won because they got some lucky free kicks, Thompson ooh we only lost against st.kilda and Carlton cause of injuries, Chapman ooh we lost but we are better than them, every moron Cat fan oooh what about our list, every moron Cat fan, ooh come here sis and give me a kiss.

Idiot

What a bunch of sad, pathetic sore losers you lot are.

Build a bridge, get over it.

Mooney deserved at least one week, most probably two, but the system showed it's flaws yet again. Had nothing to do with Collis, it was Vozzo vs Robinson who led to the decision.

Moons hasn't whacked anyone properly since Jess Sinclair in 2002, and since then has played right on the line of the rules, with the odd transgression here and there. He's hard, tough and sometimes over the top, but I wouldn't call him a thug. There was lead up to what he did on Sunday, but that still doesn't justify his actions. It's the AFL's fault for doing things half assed.

As for the childish, moronic name calling (Girlong, Bummer Thompson, hicks etc), I feel like I'm at primary school again. Apart from a few people on here, hardly any Geelong supporters have gloated or carried on about a 7pt victory at KP, yet a few of you St.Kilda fans are carrying on like we took out full page ads in the paper.

You're slinging mud at us collectively, and at the end of the day, all your talk of conspiracy theories and favouritism is coming back in truckloads on your doorstep, and making you look like the tools you most probably are.

p.s Maguire is a poor mans Mooney ;)

If we're Shannon Noll, that must make you Kayne from Popstars - NOBODY CARES.

When have I said we will win the pemiership. I dont think we will. Cats are a prelim final hope, njothing more. All I think is that Mooney should not have been reported, Bartel should have been, and that Scarlett is the leagues premier full back.

Supporeters who take Bill seriously are dumb ( swing the meter over those posts fireman). He is just excited about the cats as they have been out of the finals for sooooooo many years.

right on about Fletcher, Leon, his name hardly ever pops up and he is a gun fullback. I suppose its some of the dirty stuff he does like scarlett that causes that.
A morbid fascination with Scarlett it seems.

I don't see the rivalry, I for one don't take much notice of the Cats, I prefer Rivalries with significant clubs.
now thats just silly.

There's a couple to get you through until lunch time but it was this gem that i had in mind..

The key word is a "few". Most haven't said anything.

It's a pity that a few, from every club, give an undeserved reputation to the rest.

I don't get how Mooney got off for an attempted head high slam, but Carr got pinged for a gutpunch.

A few of the saints supporters are pushing the Collis conspiracy theory. I think it has more to do with a dispute between Ian Robertson and the umpires in the way that he charges players on video. The last two times Geelong players have been up to the tribunal (Scarlett and Mooney) The umpires have come up and supported them buy saying that they saw the incidents and did not think there was much in it except for a free kick.

The tribunal takes the interpretation of the umpires seriously and in cases will take their version of events over video footage and always over anything the players have to say. I think the fact that the umpires have supported the players the last two times is the reason they have got off.

One thing I am disappointed in is that it was revealed on 3AW that the Harvey/Callan incident was not even looked at by Robertson. I am not saying that Harvey should have been reported, as I am not convinced either way. I am more worried about the fact that a player can be hit high and as a result is unable to play for the rest of the game because of a concussion/neck injury and the incident doesn’t even warrant having a look at. It should have been cleared or put on report not just overlooked.

If harvey had of gone up corrupt Collis would have given him three weeks.

I agree. Absurdity is overtaking reason.
