I would have the Tigers up there with the toughtest with players Like Dyer, Mopsy Fraser, Balme, Browne, McGhie, Sheedy, Bourke and M Rioli just to name a few. The Richmond team of the late 60's and early 70's were a bunch of nutters but they pale into insiginificance when compared to their team of the 30's and 40's.

You talk the talk but would piss yourself "going to war" with anyone. History shows that every club had players go to war - your assertion that certain clubs are tougher than others is about as realistic as the shinboner spirit.

It is true that some clubs welcomed thugs and encouraged sniping against the spirit of the game- doesn't make them tougher.

The way they reacted to Simmonds getting KO'ed in the GF was embarrassing. Just sat there and took it, at most scalded Essendon for being naughty boys. Could you imagine if that was a Hawthorn, North or Essendon player taken out in a GF. Would be a bloodbath which would see mass suspensions.

They picked sissys like Watts and Johnstone with their first pick.

Their best player is Flower. Enough said.

I agree with Hawks and Cats. Of the "interstate" teams Brisbane ha some tough ***** during the 3peat. The 2 Scotts, Johnson, Pike, Voss, J. Brown had and in Browns case have some balls as well as others.
