It was a bit of a howler, but I don't anticipate Espargaro's mistake will cost him anything overall. He'll still get 2nd or 3rd in the cship, maybe another 1 or 2 wins, and that's it. Still, a career-best, defining season. Even if he finished close enough to Fabs where the points he missed out on would've made a difference, I would expect Quartararo to have managed the gap so that the lost points wouldn't have had an actual effect.
