MRP - Dawes one week

How the hell is that incident even looked at let alone judged to be 1 week? Incidental contact to the head in an attempt to tackle. I would love Dawes to miss Monday, but not for BS like that. Compare it to Waite's deliberate kick & you have to wonder if the MRP are the ones who should be drug tested. Hell even compare it to Brown's & the Dawes incident is softer.

oh dear.

This is getting worse every week.

At least I don't feel quite as bad about the Rioli suspension. I mean, at least Rioli was actually trying to assert himself. Dawes' only crime was being slow. Never knew that was a suspendable offense?

Agree.

Rioli's was bad but how the fricking hell does that constitute a strike?

SO Dawes gets a week for basically nothing and Campbell Brown nearly elbows a kid's head off and gets two?
This was always going to come back and bite the AFL on the arse for not challenging the ruling on Browns' hit last week.

Brown should have got at least 4 for that hit, and then you could maybe consider Dawes' hit punishable, but not if you compare the two.

Basically what the AFL are saying to all of us is that the Dawes hit is half as bad as the Brown hit.;)

Not the softest i have seen but the strike is nothing. However the tribuneral will say it was done with intent because he wasnt looking at the ball only the the head of the player he struck. Don't want him to miss coz want the young guys to play against the best pies they can.

Terrible decision, but YAY for us!!
