Purples to lose a few. Sheldon and probably Aitkens, gone. Vallender and Daniels to Picola, Quinn to Shepp United plus the retirements. Half the flag side gone.

Runnals and Mckee have committed to playing at Yarrawonga in 2013. Form reports, they will be travelling and have committed to games prior to leaving and upon returning.

Looks like a 4 horse race at this stage United, Mulwala, Finley and Numurkah all going out hard in the recruiting in 13, with Cobram and Deni to be there about.

One topic of conversation that continues to rise amongst a number of clubs and players not just Murray League but other country and metro clubs is the concerning matter of clubs continuing to recruit hard for 2013, offering big dollars when money is owed to players from 2012.

In other news AFLVIC under the new restructure and country football banner are possibly toying with the idea of random drug testing in country football. The testing will incorporate recreational and performance enhancing tests, in a bid to try and elevate drugs in community sport. All players that sign a registration form or that are registered with an operating club could be scrutinised to a urine sample on either game day or training night subject to possible new legislation looking at being implemented in the near future. Positive testers will have their club informed of their actions and follow a similar process to the one the AFL operates under. “The 3 Strike policy”.

Rubbish! Do you have any idea what the testing costs and what reasons would it serve? What about the bloke that has a few beers down at the local Friday night and plays for Blighty (no disrespect) Two's does he get tested as well? Where did you pull that one from?

Its called stepping outside your cardboard box you live in pal and talking to the right people! No one said you had to read what I write. How about reading other forums (not just GV & Murray League) and having a look at what is being discussed in them before you jump down my throat. Doesn't cost much mate to run a urine sample champ, not talking about the full on blood testing and hair sampling here, that would cost millions. And for the record a few beers isn't an illegal substance so he should be right. The understanding is that it will more than likely start at metro leagues first.

Well you tell me how much it costs?-laughable. The 'right' people must be having a lend of you mate! And by the way fair to say I read most things on the forums but yours is the most ridiculous I've come across for a while. I admit you have been right about a couple of things but this is just madness

Luke Jajourra gains another jumper and signs with Barooga....mmmm:confused:

Beat me to it, Ringo.. $1,500/match & hefty sign-on is the word up here, where he's had a great start to the year with nightcliff. It'll be interesting if they let him play the season out up here or expect him back for praccy matches, etc.

Hey mate, not 100% sure what you mean.. I'd say jarjoura is planning on playing up here every summer then moving back down south each winter. What has happened in the past is that some 'southern' blokes have played NTFL them signed lucrative contracts back in vic or SA & been 'strongly encouraged' to move back before the NTFL season is over. IF jarjoura HAS signed at barooga, it'll be interesting what their requirements are in regards to his playing & training availability & if that will conflict, at all, with nightcliff matches.. I wasn't implying that it has, or will, but could.

Ah my bad i probably came across wrong but i was under the influence that he was up there working, and i'm pretty sure he told me for 2 years. and couldn't see him commiting down here or someone paying for him to travel every week unless he's planning on moving back long term? I guess i was asking if he got the sack or maybe is nightcliff looking to move him on?
