Warburton is staying at swans, was only considering finley as an option if his work took him that way which never eventuated, so he staying put.

heard he is moving to SA for work... thats coming from his girlfriend so guessing its correct

Went along on Friday night to meet the coach night at Congupna and had a bit of a look, there would of been over 250 people at the road . Must say I was very impressed with the way this bloke works and talks, very professional had a powepoint presentation on the year, Game plan and what to expect. I have not seen to many coaches set up like he did in country football. Josh Wilson has left and gone home for a new job, They announced six new players and still more to come, he is also coaching Queensland again in 2010, I found that abit odd him living in Vic. Cant remember the recruits that are coming except one of them played on that Eagle who has gone to United. Simon Ryan from Swans name was being thrown round as coming as was Mark Pilling 3 time premeirship player from Seymour, but thats just the talk.:thumbsu:

Thats pretty close we are trying to get Pilling back to Seymour but the rumours are he will go to Congupna, and Barooga took Scanlon up there last week and offered him a fortune, but he will stay at Bendigo and play a few games with the lions, if he went to the Murray league it would be to Congupna.:thumbsu:

Tim Burr, my dear friend all this talk about Daniels bringinging players, watch how many follow him from Queensland to Congupna, how many followed him to Seymour from the Bullants, how many went to Cairns, I my boy was one, he is and will be the best coach i have ever played under at Local level and VFL level and even better bloke..........

Tim, I did tell you...........

Andrew "AB" Browning (Qld Rep, 6' 10" ruckman) , Mick Douglas ( Shut Eagle down more than once ) Andrew Douglas ( ex-rep AFL Cairns) Cam Joinbee (exciting young fast player), Shane Cockerall returning ex GVFL player, all from South Cairns plus more from up this way.

Hahahahaha tamba...... Poor Eagle... He really had trouble on him! Oh and Geelong should have delisted Ablett and kept Tenace. Douglas is a good footballer but not even in the same class as Eagle. Don't put pressure on the bloke before he arrives. AB is a great pick up and will dominate the ruck in this league.

Have heard from a very reliable source that Lucas White will be coaching Toc so id say he wont be leaving. Have heard Warnett back to Tat and Logie considering his options in Melbourne.
toc had a bbq day at the warnett household yesterday so i doubt that lee's goin to tat mate

Daniel to crack open new six-pack
Two-time Seymour premiership coach Steve Daniel will arrive in town today with news of a six-pack of recruits for his new club Congupna.
Daniel, 42, has taken over from Travis Hampshire, who led Congupna to the Murray Football League finals in three of his four years in charge, including this season.
Daniel coached South Cairns to its second straight grand final in the AFL Cairns competition this year, but family reasons have brought him back to Victoria.
Former South Cairns players Andrew Browning, 22, Andrew and Michael Douglas, 26 and 21, respectively, and Shane Cockerell, 30, will join Daniel at Congupna.
Cockerell will coach the club's reserves side, but will play seniors and reserves next season.
Daniel has also signed fellow Queenslanders Scott Schelly, 24, and Cameron Joinbee, 21.
He will introduce the signings at Congupna's meet-the-coach function tonight.
Ruckman Browning is the most exciting of the lot and is coming off a season where he won league and club best and fairest awards.
But the Queensland senior representative is far from the only talented player in the bunch.
Left-footed midfielder Andrew Douglas had a stint at VFL club the Northern Bullants, while his younger brother Michael is a versatile key-position player who can play up forward or down back.
Schelly played at interleague level this season, and indigenous livewire Joinbee combines speed and class on either the wing or the half-back line.
Daniel also revealed there could be three more recruits in the coming week.
But he stopped short of making any grandiose predictions for Congupna, which finished fifth this season.
``I'd just like to win more games than I lose,'' Daniel said.
``I don't know what I'm coming into. I don't know what Congupna's got at all and I don't know too much about the league.
``I know Barooga is usually very dominant and Tocumwal won the premiership last season, but that's all I know at the moment.
``All I can do is go in with my eyes open and start to set the club up to be very, very professional.
``I can't guarantee that Congupna will win the premiership, but I will guarantee it will be the most professional club in the Murray league.''

Matt Chapman cost Barooga big time this year with his undisciplined and selfish play??? Can he play ask him and he'll tell you?

Matt Dwyer signed at Nurmurka, great pick up, he was one of the best onballers up here in Cairns and a great bloke will dominate before he goes overseas.
