Last night was pretty great. Have heard em better but that's not a jibe on last night.
Knew my chances of Citizen Erased were low but still great night.

The only thing he lacks is a real frontman stage presence, but besides that he's the full package.
Went to the Tuesday show, GA. Show was great, great setlist too I thought.
But the crowd was unbelievable young, if there was moshing kids would have ended up in hospital. Particularly with todays skinny emo kids, none of whom weigh over 50kg's.
Bellamy sounded great and light and stage show was excellent. A classically trained pianist, awesome vocalist and very good guitarist. Life's not fair.
Saw muse Melbourne show on Tuesday. After much build up as I was told they where so so good live. An after missing a lot of there Bdo show due to drinking a lot, an finding watching guys getting chased by sercurity on the tents more interesting. I was looking forward to them. A great Stadium band everyone told me.
Unforntunatly I wouldn't advise anyone to see them. I am a big fan of muse but I may as well have just listened to there cd up really loud. Umm how to say it too perfect / contrived... Nothing raw exciting or different. An Bellemy is just an average frontman. An the other guy well I worried for his neck as he jerked it forward. Thought out the show.
Maybe I saw the wrong nite. Maybe not, but this is from someone who is a fan an got a free ticket. Very disapointing.
The 3 of them are world class musicians but I'd rather hear Muscle Museum or Uno than naff like Guiding Light.
good to hear citizen erased getting a run.
when they played it at oxegen earlier this year i was ****ing loving life. definately my fave muse tune, and an all time top 10 tune for me.
Stockholm Syndrome for me.
When that guitar riff gets going it gives me chills.
Loved the harmonica intro to Knights of Cydonia last night. Was epic.
Muse was pretty ****ing epic, its gotta be said.
Disappointing they played Guiding Light, arguably their worst song.
Would've liked to have seen ANYTHING Showbiz, Sunburn would've been nice.
Apparently they don't play Muscle Museum live anymore because the pedal Matt used was stolen and unreplaceable, pity.
Disappointing by the lack of love for Undisclosed Desires last night. He uses a keytar ffs, A KEYTAR, that alone makes it full of win.
Still, Time is Running Out really got the crowd going, more than anything else, that was beyond epic.
Which show did you attend Von Douche, no Citizen Erased in Perth :/
Though my other four favourites got a play (Plug in Baby, Bliss, Stockholm Syndrome and New Born), so that was good. Pity there is no chance of Muscle Museum ever again though...
Was pleased enough at the reply some of the older songs received, most got into Stockholm Syndrome especially, and was also pleased Guiding Light got the most muted response of the evening. Wish they had played MK Ultra instead... Of course Undisclosed Desires was inevitable, I took a toilet break during that one, terrible song that.
I'm feeling like I attended a different show to Von Douche
I can kind of agree with thedevil though. If there was one fault with the show, it is that it didn't sound quite different enough to the record for my liking. Live shows should have a raw edge, and it just wasn't prevalent enough. Great night overall though.
Though I kind of wish I was able to see them three years ago when I was absolutely mad about their music.
My bad mate that should have said Bliss I just had Citizen on the brain because of reading through the other posts. In fairness it's the 5th time I've seen them live so they're all starting to run into one a little bit
Whereabouts were you in relation to the stage? I think I picked a particularly bad spot in terms of crowd reaction. I was right near the front and off to the left a bit and Stockholm Syndrome's response was a little bit muted for mine. I've been to previous shows where it's torn the place apart and in my area there where people standing with arms crossed I kid you not, Shitted me to tears. Not only that but when Guiding Light was on these same people had been waving lighters in the air like it was candle in the wind being played at a wake.
I love Matt but the one criticism of himself and the band is that their shows are very scripted and there's very little crowd interaction. They know what they're coming out to do, they do it and then they get off stage.
Feels a bit like you're being filmed for a DVD every single show.
I have a little piece of Bliss Balloon, or as it was on the night, Plug in Balloon, from the first night in Brisbane. Nice little momentoI was to the left towards the back , looking from the entrance. Towards the end I went back into the licensed area though. Stockholm Syndrome went absolutely off from my view, within and outside the area. Guiding light wasn't that well received as far as I could tell either. Damn that song is average and cheesy as ****.
As a side note, The floating eyeballs that they released were cool as well.
When they came out I got my car keys out and was ready to pop one. None came close enough to me.I have a little piece of Bliss Balloon, or as it was on the night, Plug in Balloon, from the first night in Brisbane. Nice little momento
Haha. I went to hit one out of the air as it came above me.. and I was as tall as most around me, have a great reach.. but they all Jumped, I tippy toed to reach it and fell back on someone, without getting a touchWhen they came out I got my car keys out and was ready to pop one. None came close enough to me.
The first night in Melbourne got a power slide from Matt at the end of that riff.**** I love that opening riff in Newborn. Made me jizz in my pants.
Towards the back of the crowd, looking up at them. How f----ing sick was that? The first night in Melbourne got a power slide from Matt at the end of that riff.
