Number 46??? Blond hair?

Frickin great grab. I think he was more surprised than anyone!!

One bit of play had me slightly "worked up"

Harris lays a strong tackle, ball falls to the feet of Jones, who lobs a kick in the D. Motlop direction, grabs it baulks poor Carlton numpty, handball to Ash Watson who carries it, bounces, 60 metre centering kick to Drew Petrie and silly looking, out classed Carlton numpty. Petrie mark. Goal.

Petrie was playing with grade 1 kids at an Auskick clinic yesterday. D Motlop was taking vodka shots at the breaks in play. He was walking aroud aimlessly when the ball was up the other end. When it came to him, he played as if he just remembered he was playing footy, and decided he would like to kick a goal.

My changes:

Out: Sav, Blakey, Cochrane

In: Petrie, Motlop, Motlop

One of the Brothers could be replaced with Jones, but I would give him one more week in the VFL. He played well, but looked about I week away from being capable of playing a whole game out in the seniors.

I'm presuming John McNamara is a young kid, not the same bloke that played in our under 19s and played reserves with Essendon & Geelong before going to play for Port Melbourne... he'd be about 30 now.

Good to hear Drew played well - saw him in the rooms on Saturday and he looked like ****. Said he felt like **** and certainly sounded like it.

Good to see. Hope they let him take it relatively easy on the track as there are some bad viruses around at the moment.

Also saw Stevo - very mellow on pain medication, but what an effort. 24 hours after fairly painful surgery getting a hospital pass to help the team. This bloke is a fair dinkum inspirational captain.

Classic Speckie

Close Tashi, but not quite.................

Jon McCormick is No. 46

He can play.

Jon is one of our best tacklers and may have a bigger future than people think. He has a good football brain and his skills are improving all the time. He can play as an in and under type, or out on the wing, as he is quick as well as being tall for a midfielder. His decision making is also excellent.

Jon was very close to being picked up by us before having to have surgery (which the Club paid for) for stress fractures. The talk was that he would have been picked up ahead of Teaguey, if it wasn't for his problem foot (now completely healed).

He's a genuinely nice bloke and deserves an opportunity, as he has done it hard both on and off the field. I hope that Jon continues to improve and plays AFL footy for us, as he would be a great addition to our Club.

Watch for him to come onto our Rookie list next year.

Go Roos!

It's Johnnie's 3rd year with us, he's had a bad run with injuries over those years, but what a fantastic mark to make up for it!

As for #51 - Kade Stevens - little champ! I hope we pick him up on our Rookie list, he looks like he could be a good asset. I think it's his 2nd year with us.
