Also, I'm going to say Kanye has surpassed Jay-z as an artist and in fairness he probably did it along time ago.
The co-ordination of quite possibly the biggest list of guest vocalists outside of a gimmick/charity song in popular music, with John Legend, The-Dream, Ryan Leslie, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, Elly Jackson of La Roux, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Drake, Kid Cudi, Rihanna and Elton John all contributing, and using the variety of talents available to him to produce an almost symphonic sound.
I may have gone a little overboard, but I genuinely approve mightily of the production on that track.
Kanye's album is the most overrated in years for sure
unbelievably good. First great album of the decade and one that will go down as an all time great.
The scope, musically and lyrically, surpasses anything hip hop has produced in years ... Decades.
Magnificent ramblings of a super talented dude hovering somewhere near madness.
Yet every bombastic statement of ego is slyly undercut with self deprecation: "i'm just a chi-town n***a with a nas flow".
Also not afraid to shove hypocrisy in our faces. See his reflective meditation on domestic abuse ... Feat. Rihanna.
More power to the crazy bastard.
This reminds me of when the Marshall Mathers L.P. came out, anybody still listening to it?

Nah, that's Nicki Minaj. Is it just me or is there an uncredited M.I.A line on there ... bit about 'the bad bitch from Sri Lanka'?
It's also in Monster, not All of the LightsNah, that's Nicki Minaj.
trollers gonna troll
or could be trolling.....
How could you be so heartless?I've never listened to 808's in full. Breezed through a good number of the songs really quickly and obviously know about the two main singles from the album. From this 'outside' perspective, it seems like a quality album in terms of production, writing, concept, videos, you name it. The only issue, and it's a big one at that, is that it's an autotune album, and I for one do not respect its use in music.
I genuinely liked 808s, but this is complete madness, and you surely have to recognise that your opinion is the complete opposite of what the vast, vast majority of people. You seriously think MBDTF is better than 808? 808 the first 7 songs are master pieces and will all be ranked amongst his best songs? What are you faves of MBDTF?
Edit: i have to go do some things right now, ill play the CD in my car and give it a fair going over, apology could be pending

On Metacritic, which aggregates ratings for different things from a range of sources, 808s and Heartbreak has the lowest average score of any of his albums at 75%, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has not just the highest average of any of his albums at 94%, but one of the highest average ratings of any album listed on the site (14th overall).
XXL, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork don't agree on much, but they all gave MBDTF a perfect score - I just don't see how you can incredulously ask whether anybody likes this more than 808s and Heartbreak...
It's like asking "You seriously think James Hird was a better footballer than Trent Sporn?" - Even Trent Sporn's mum would understand that the consensus was that James Hird was the better player, even if she thinks her little Trent was just marvelous.
