Tas take on SA in what should hopefully be a competitive game in round 1 of the NAB under 18s championship. SA will have a strong side, but after NT defeated Metro last week, I wouldn't totally discount a major upset. It will be interesting to see how Tasmania bounces back after their shocking hammering against North Ballarat.

Tassie got absolutely hammered by a far superior SA team. The end result was a 144 point defeat to the NAB cup favourites on our home soil. Thurlow did will though, hopefully catching the eye of some recruiters. He was one that I really hoped see do well. Nevertheless, Tassie are going to have to improve if they even want to compete in division two this year. Should get Jesse Lonergan back from injury for the next game, so that will help. Did anyone see it live? Thoughts?

Great stuff, thanks for the link. Watching it now. Thurlow is definitely the stand out so far (watched the first half). Tassie seem relatively competitive in contested ball situations, but the SA players have way too much space inside 50. They also had massive trouble getting the ball out of that 50 into attacking situations. They were getting killed by SA's rebound off half back.

Thanks for the livestream have watched it. Check out the good mark and goal by the young underage 16yo (No 24 K Kolodjashnij) for Tas at approx 2:34:09
