Makes sense to have the older guys in the best 22 play the hone game and well will probably send the kids to Adelaide. Will be interesting to see what happens with naitanui.

Wonder why there hasn't been Cavka or Adamson. One seems to have earned a preseason game while the latter should be eased into competitive football sooner rather than later.

Am I the only one that wants to scrape a 1 point victory just to read the meltdowns on here
We could win by 10 goals and there'd still be posters melting on here

No need to cut it so fine

Score completely irrelevant.
This is all about getting through each game with 0 injuries.

But would also like to see the real working of Simpsons formula and how we adjust if they start to flood or get a run on.
Ball movement will be important, but as it'll be the first game of the season for a lot of them, I expect we'll see a few missed targets.
Just be good to see us try to use the ball a bit better going into the 50 and see how quickly we can transition from backline to the forwards. Most of the prime movers are in the team, even if they're only on the ground for a few minutes together it'd be good to see how the team plays.

I'm looking forward to the game plan taking effect in regards to players knowing where to run . So often in the first half of last season our ball carrier had zero options and was forced to revert back to kicking long to a contest . By seasons end our ball movement was much cleaner , faster and more options were available .
I'm hoping this evolution of ball and player movement to be evident after another pre season .

Just had a look at Carltons team for Friday down here in Mandurah and if we don't pump them by 100+ points then something is seriously wrong, the only decent player in their list is Simpson the rest are nobodies.
But wouldn't that just reinforce the belief that we are flat track bullies?
